Canal Quays Apartments

On arrival and first appearance, everything looked clean and tidy and comfortable

There was an infestation of bed bugs, which we discovered when we got into bed in the early hours of the morning. The property customers support officer I rang disconnected my call and it took 3 more tries to speak to someone who was most unhelpful advising that if I wanted to I could find my own alternate accommodation for the night. She also pointed out that the previous guests had raised no complaints about bed bugs. Yet we found an empty can of Dyfogger infestation control in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. The next day the property management team was responsive, offering a choice of accommodation in different locations but refused to move our luggage or transport us. They also refused reimbursement for costs lost due to this issue. This didn't work for us as we needed to be in Canal Quays so we cancelled the entire booking and asked for a full refund. Do not recommend Canal Quays apartment 503 due to the infestation of bed bugs, old and unclean duvet inner and balcony door that did not open. In addition the night time property support team were disinterested, dismissive and terribly unhelpful!

Location is convenient. Good security.

Cleaning is an additional fee that is pricey, especially since we stayed for a week.

The apartment was in a great location, less than 10 mins walk to the V & A area. The apartment had everything I needed and was clean inside. I felt safe in the apartment as it's very secure and has 24/7 security

The company that ran it, Propr, was very poor to communicate. I waited 2 hours to get into the apartment. Sending several messages, which was ignored, and the phone no. On Booking.com, don't receive incoming calls, The apartment was very clean. However, outside on the balcony was very dirty

There were bed bugs in the bed ! Had to get alternative accommodation.
