Lemon Tree Hotel, Chandigarh

I had a one night stay at this hotel and the experience and services were average. The only good thing was that the hotel is located close to elante mall.

I booked for 2 nights (looked online and thought that it would be an amazing option to relax) but was really upset as soon as I checked in and went to the swimming pool..Reason: I clearly mentioned to the executive on the phone a day before checking in that I either need a bath tub or a swimming pool because my kid is fond of the same. I was Ok to check in when I was confirmed on phone that there is no bath tub in the room but there is a pool for everyone including kids.. Pool was really a bad experience when my kid could not enter the same as it was 4ft deep all over..really..very sad...all my emotions and expenses went to a toss that time..really.. I have not marked all the above parameters as "Terrible" because I really don't want to penalise everyone (staff in hotel) due to this.

Very poor customer service to start with. Taking 30 mins to check in for three rooms. Asking for ID fair enough but then copy of visa entry to India. Ok you let it go for reason of Indian laws. Then supplied with smoking rooms when I clearly stated non smoking, then coming down to lobby to change rooms took another 10/15 mins. Thought we all have dip in the pool, but the state of the pool looked like it hadn't been attended to for last month or so. Water was filthy and the surrounding area a mess. Final straw, sent up for room service we were given bottled water but the seals were broken. Clearly tap water, luckily spotted.

Nice hotel, clean, not too far from the airport, staff very polite and helpful. Close to a big shopping center. It worked perfect for me cause I had to buy a dress for a wedding on the filling day of my arrival.

Decent location in the center of Chandigarh and close to the mall saves the day.. but rooms are small and VERY noisy. Can hear stuff above and down the hall. "Free" WiFi is slow and limited to 2 devices per room so don't bother to bring children or guests or you will pay extra. You will also pay extra for pretty much all else. I booked online for 2 rooms. Forgot to check 2 persons per room and was charged extra since I had 2 in one room!! Restaurant sub par. Go out and eat. Overall 1.5/5 stars in my book.

This experience was the worst experience ever. The hotel does not have enough manpower and provide poor service. As soon as I entered the hotel, there was couple of families entered at the same time. The staff could not handle theit customers. They asked me to wait in business are as the sofas were occupied. They took almost half hour and again i went to them asking how long it is going to take. Only then they realised that I was waiting. They could not find my booking which I have done through hotels.com. I had very long flight and was losing my patience and gave my credit card to get a room. The bell boy got everyone'should luggage from security check. By the time I finished the ordeal with reception, my luggage was gone. They said they will bring it to my room. I went to the room. Again surprisingly I had 2 twin beds whereas I requested for queen or double bed. They can't change it. Later they gave login Id to use wifirst only on one device. It was not working either. I called again and they said they would send IT guy to my room. Waited for 30 mins doing nothing. I cudnt take shower as my bag didn't arrive yet and wifi wasn't working. Again I went down to reception to ask about wifi and my bag. My bag was lying near reception and many staff were just standing and do9ing nothing. The IT guy was also there and cud easily connect to Internet at the reception.

what a location... perfect hotel for business and ffamily visit as well.

It was great but service is little slow.

Nice & comfortable - perfect for an business stay or short stay with family.

Stay was not good. , AC switch was not working, Toilet taps were dripping. Towels etc... were not cleaned.
