Berawa Beach Residence

Great night in Canggu, we popped in late after spending a whole day on the bike. Friendly staff and beautiful room. Good night sleep, very comfortable beds. Bathrooms were modern and had great water pressure. Kitchenette was also very modern. We were not far from the beach or from Seminyak. Pool was very well maintained, would stay there again

Good except my gps wasn't accurate and finding it is difficult. Make sure you know where you're going

The hotel staff were extremely rude they also told us to leave out helmets for our scooters at the front behind the desk on many occasions our helmets ( helmets which were purchased by us for $75) were giving out to other guest willingly by staff and when asked where they were and then asked y they were giving out we were abuses by stuff so much so I did not feel safe to stay the rest of the time I needed to book other accordion for the rest of my stay in bali :( very disappointed

Excellent if you want something different from the usual 4 star hotels. this is cheap and cheerful no frills. Basic breakfast, no restaurant but was really pleasantly surprised with our stay. Miles from the main tourist areas but within $5-8 taxi fares. there were 2 nice warungs within a 5 minute walk. The Cafe Rafara was really good with Indonesian food and good company from Raf and his family. Raf has has his own Rock Band and shop next to the cafe. If you wanted posh nosh you can't go past the Bali Equestrian Centre less than 5 minute walk which is 5 star luxury with Bar,Restaurant Pool etc. We would stay at Barawa beach residence again without hesitation. Thank you guys for making our stay memorable.

Although the hotel was a little out of the way, the friendly and helpful staff makes up for it. It's good value for money for those who are planning to stay in Bali for longer period of time and wants to return to a home away from home. The breakfast was simple but delicious . However it will be good to offer more variety.

Berawa Beach Residence met most of our needs. The staff were lovely and helpful and couldn't have been friendlier, especially the manager, Gusti, who organized a last minute driver (his brother-in-law, Gede - we highly recommend him) for us twice. Our 2-story "suite" was simply decorated but comfortable, with bottled water, working fridge & air con, comfortable beds, and 2 bathrooms with showers. Our 12-year-old had her own room but struggled a bit with the heat because it had no windows and the air con was outside her room in the living room; she ended up sleeping on the couch. The outdoor breakfast area was cool and lovely, and the pool was small but adequate for kids. There was even a small exercise room with treadmill and cross-trainer, which we didn't use. The location was quiet and hidden away in the countryside (with cows and roosters), unfortunately nowhere near the beach. We wanted to be somewhere quiet, however, it was very difficult (and dangerous due to narrow roads and traffic) to walk anywhere, which was a disappointment since we like to explore places on foot. Visitors without kids who are game can rent mopeds for next to nothing to get around. Via taxi, it is a short 20- to 30-min trip to the temple Tanah Lot in the north, and to Seminyak in the south. We would recommend staying here, especially for those who have been to Bali before and are seeking a quiet location away from the usual hustle and bustle.
