Berawa Beach Residence

Stayed at Berawa for 6 nights and we found the location a little remote. Nearly every taxi driver got lost trying to find it, so make sure you take a map from reception before you get into a taxi and have the address handy. Still only $5 in a taxi to Seminyak, about 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes in bad traffic. We didn't bother going to Kuta it would be too far away and traffic would be too bad. Ideal if you have a scooter though. The staff were so nice and very helpful. I seen a lot of complaints about breakfast before we went but it was more than sufficient, the banana pancakes (available upon request) were delicious! Even though they didn't have room service, they had menu's for local restaurants who they would order food through and it would get delivered. Our room was spacious and air-con super cold. Pool was small but never busy so was fine. Overall I really enjoyed the hotel and I would recommend to people if they are looking for a more quieter area to stay in.

Very comfortable rooms. The location was perfect- away from the busy areas but close enough to get a cheap taxi or scooter ride to seminyak. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast in the morning was good.

Stayed in the two bedroom townhouse, very roomy, better than expected. Little further out from main strip, but worth it for price and peaceful location. Need a car or bike to venture around. All staff lovely and helpful, anything we asked for they provided.

Very friendly staff. Everything was available on request. Especially on our last day we req to have a late check out as our flight was at 11 pm and the manager gave us a seperate room without any extra charge. Allowed us to stay until 8 pm. Also provided a scooter on hire with a very low price of just 50,000 Idr. This was half the price than one available in the market. It is bit isolated but if looking for peace this is the area for you. If hired scooter life is easier in Bali. Had lot of fun.

The staff are friendly and the breakfast was ok with eggs offered as standard with just one choice of cereal and one choice of fresh fruit. The hotel is miles from anywhere and we were promised a free pickup fro the airport but this didn't happen and we had to take a taxi but we were reimbursed after several days of chasing them for the money. An idea of local restaurants would have been helpful. My biggest problem was there is only a mirror in the bathroom with no electric point so that I couldn't use my hair dryer without the use of an extension cable.

Nice and quite not to far from kuta.

The kitchen and general staff were very nice and helpful however every time we asked for something it was not provided immediately. I had asked for an extra sheet and pillow for our fold out sofa bed and it took 3 days to be provided, this probably should have been in the room anyway. We ran out of soap and I asked for 2 days for more soap before being provided. Also all rooms were supposed to come with coffee and tea making facilities as stated in brochure however I was told that I could only get these with the buffet breakfast starting at 7am each morning, this was a major disappointment. Also 3 kitchen cupboard doors just fell off their hinges open first opening and these were not repaired during our 12 night stay. There were other little things like a tin of open paint being left in the villa from recent painting which smelt and lightglobes not replaced. I also had t ask for fresh towels on a couple of occassions. The villa itself was very clean and tidy and unlike previous reviews I read, I found the breakfast more than sufficient with eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc all provided upon request. The mattresses are very hard and the hot water is a problem taking ages to heat up when showering and if both showers were used at the same time there was barely any pressure. The villa building itself is also remote and a good 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach with nothing really close by tgher than a cafe and spa. For a cheap stay it was good you pay for what you get.

Fantastic place to stay, we have two teenage kids and our villa was roomy enough for us to escape from them at night for some peace and quiet. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They helped organize our day trips we were interested in and plenty more. We absolutely fell in love with the people there, very friendly and fantastic atmosphere. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta for somewhere a lot quieter but still central enough to everything then this is a the place to go. We can't wait to get back there.
