As a nature lover, place is perfect.Atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Value is a little bit pricey.

The Farm at San Benito is stunning, but sadly, it’s all looks and no substance. You travel so far expecting a 5-star wellness retreat, yet they can’t even get the basics right. Rooms: AC couldn’t be turned off, phone didn’t work, vault broken, no umbrellas or hand towels, and the shower wasn’t clean. For a “wellness” resort, only one type of tea was provided — disappointing. Dining: Food was below average — dry chicken, noisy staff, and no bread or butter service. Dishes were just dropped on the table without explanation. French restaurant is considered as the fine dining restaurant. They served frozen chicken. Staff: They’re kind and trying hard, but clearly lack training and coordination. Overall: Beautiful setting but poorly managed. For the price, it’s completely overrated. You come for relaxation but leave frustrated. A waste of money — not worth the long trip.

Honestly, nothing. We deeply regret booking this stay — the photos were heavily edited and misleading. Everything from the room condition to the service and food was a massive letdown.

I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels and wellness resorts around the world, and I can confidently say: The Farm at San Benito is a complete disaster dressed up in eco-chic marketing. Let’s start with the suite — $350 a night. I don’t mind paying that… if the experience even remotely reflects the price. Instead, what you get is a moldy-smelling, run-down room that feels like it hasn’t been updated in decades. Everything is old — creaky toilet, worn-out furniture, and fixtures that look like they were salvaged from a 90s provincial hospital. There’s supposedly a turndown service. Not once did anyone show up. There are no blackout curtains, so prepare to be blasted awake by daylight the moment the sun rises. Great if you enjoy being violently yanked out of sleep at 6am. Not so great if you’re expecting rest and relaxation. Then come the cockroaches at night, crawling around like they also paid $350 for a suite. The service is almost nonexistent. It took two hours to get an ice box, and when we ordered two San Pellegrino waters, one came completely flat — not a bubble in sight. We had to explain to the staff what carbonation is. That’s the level of attentiveness you’re working with. And don’t expect to be saved by the food. The restaurant is a joke. Bland, uninspired, and somehow manages to make “wellness cuisine” feel like punishment. You’d get more flavor chewing grass from the garden. The massage? Priced like a 5-star spa in Beverly Hills, yet you’re in the middle of a nowhere rural area where the average salary is under $100/month. The price of one massage could literally feed a local family for months. The disconnect is offensive. There is not a single redeeming quality about this place. It’s a sham wellness retreat built on over-edited photos and deceptive marketing. They prey on people who don’t know better — or didn’t check the reviews in time (like me). Save your money. Go anywhere else. Never, ever again.

The Farm at San Benito is truly a relaxing sanctuary — surrounded by lush greenery and the calming sounds of nature everywhere you go. It’s the kind of place that lets you disconnect and recharge completely. Their menu is impressive, offering a wide selection of dishes for every preference — from vegan and pescatarian to Mediterranean and French cuisine. However, I was a little disappointed with the adobo; it didn’t quite hit the mark compared to the other offerings. The staff, on the other hand, were exceptional — always helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring about your comfort. Our Narra Villa was perfect, tucked away in a quiet, almost secluded spot. We had some of the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. Don’t miss the healthy snacks in their gift shop — they’re delicious and make the perfect pasalubong. While the property remains beautiful, it could benefit from a bit of refreshing soon to maintain its world-class charm. Overall, it was a rejuvenating and memorable stay — a place I’d gladly return to for a peaceful escape.
