3HB Guarana - All Inclusive

We've had a lovely week away - Pro's Hotel spotlessly clean Staff incredibly friendly Food was great, always something for everyone. Snack bar with pizza, burgers, sweet potato fries... which were so good, wraps and baguettes Pools were lovely, cold this time of year but expected. Indoor pool is adults only until 8-11 which was great for a morning swim Gym was good, nice and quiet Southland band were great Cons Air con in the room was poor so I would've struggled in the hotter months Entertainment wasn't great but it was out of season so it's fine Lifts were really slow for those who had pushchairs and wheelchairs but we just took the stairs The weather wasn't great so we jumped in an Uber and went to the old town which was lovely and another day to the shopping centre. We did a few walks (see pics) and I went for a couple of runs. Overall I would definitely come back . Thank you for a little lovely holiday

The food was amazing, every dietary need catered for, the facilities for kids were great. Staff were polite and professional

*Overall, I would not book here for the amount it costs compared to where you could go* Very busy - we did travel during the school holidays so to be expected - but the food places were so busy and noisy. Not relaxing. The weather was not great and hotel was over capacity so not enough space to use facilities in the rain e.g., kids’ club fully booked, indoor pool crowded. Could always get a lounger at least but some were mouldy. No tables to put drinks! Food - the food was actually quite nice and 4* rating I would agree. Lovely girl who works on the door, friendly and organised. Lots of variety and the ability to book the other two restaurants was a nice treat (book them as soon as you arrive!). Oriental was exceptional. As mentioned, main restaurant too busy and noisy and people walk into you. Staff lovely but constant noise of plates being cleared, kids screaming etc. Snack bar was good for lunch serving pizzas, toasties etc. Drinks - There was no tea/coffee in the room at all and for a 4* hotel this was so poor. This was compounded by fact they shut off all drink machines for hot drinks in the evenings! Milk for tea was awful. Had to ask for cold milk but not always staff around. Tea and coffee from machines only and awful. Tetley tea bags and coffee my partner couldn’t even drink. Cocktails are pre-made. We had no refreshments upon arrival at all as they said the restaurants and machines were all closed, then no snacks in room fridge at all. No drinks apart from water. Disgraceful for a 4*. Spa was okay but not amazing. Jacuzzi indoor cold! Room okay, needs sprucing up. We paid extra for a bigger one. Beds were okay. Pillows lumpy. Cleaning staff all lovely and friendly, they do a good job and come everyday. Pools - absolutely freezing could barely use and not good for our little one. Made the experience not good at all as he wanted to go in but cried shivering every time. Activities - nice staff led the activities but not great. Bingo fun but prizes awful. Should be prizes for the spa or massage. Play park nice, splash park good idea but nowhere for adults to sit! We played games in the room when it rained, as I say - not enough space for essential clubs etc when raining. Kids’ club not great running of it - so slow. Took 40 mins to do one handprint - older kids not trusted to do it by themselves and lots of control. Not child-led. We left. Overall, I would avoid - it is more of a 3* due to tired rooms, freezing pools, noise in restaurants, mouldy sun beds, capacity issues, lack of food and drinks in room.

Everything about 3HB Guarana in Olhos da Água was fantastic! The rooms were spotless, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel has separate restaurants for Oriental and Mediterranean cuisine, and the buffet restaurant served all meals with plenty of variety—something for everyone. The pool area was immaculate, with plenty of sunbeds and several terraces, including quiet spots perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend 3HB Guarana and can’t wait to return! Special thanks to the staff that greeted us for our meals at the buffet restaurant . They were so pleasant and welcoming !!

Lovely clean hotel with really good good and friendly staff. Pros: Food - Good vegetarian variety and even the puddings were good (normally all inclusive ones taste like fridge). Staff - Very friendly and welcoming. Kids club did an extra session for slime making for my daughter as the first one was full. Rooms - Very clean and spacious (we had a family suite) Gym - Good equipment and indoor pool was a good feature Overalll - Splash pad and play park and close to a few lovely beaches Cons: Pool was very very cold but expected at this time of year. A wetsuit for kids is a must and will mean they can be comfortable in the sea too. The room was very hot especially at night, apparently the A/C is actually a heater at this time of year but it was needed as temps hit 25 degrees. Entertainment - a bit hit and miss but again it's expected as can't please everyone all the time! Overall we would definitely recommend it.
