Sudamala Resort, Sanur, Bali

This place was outstanding! Rooms are authentic, clean and comfortable. Pool was a good temperature and there are plenty of sunbeds. Staff were really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. We booked a cooking class which were usually held at midday for 2 people, and we asked for late afternoon for 7 people, and they accommodated this request and we had an amazing experience. Nothing was too much trouble at this Hotel. We visit Bali quite a lot and will definitely be returning to this hotel. Thank-You for making our holiday special :-)

Mooie kamer in Balinese stijl. Alles in de kamer perfect. Goed bed, ruime en fijne badkamer. Koffie apparaat op de kamer. Fantastisch ontbijt! Prachtige tuin en mooi, groot zwembad. Ik verbleef hier voor de 4e keer voor enkele dagen. Altijd weer heel fijn.

Excellent location and beautiful hotel

We have now stayed at Sudamala Sanur 4 times and each time it is as good or better than before. The ambience is of beautiful calm in the middle of the chaos of Sanur. We have met many other guests there who are repeat bookers- which tells a story. We have travelled extensively over many years and NEVER returned to a hotel just because we liked the hotel. This is a different story. The staff have just the right balance between friendliness and professionalism. The rooms are elegant the beds huge and comfortable and we love the bed time story of Indonesian folklore with home made biscuits put out at turndown. Many bathrooms have open sides, but mosquito repellant coils and devices are provided- there were none this time (April) but a few more in November. The Spa is one of the most relaxing places ever- again the staff are wonderful and the space is of old world Indonesia beauty. The staff are employed there and not endentured, like so many of the other cheap massage/beauty shops on the strip. The service with the lemongrass and cucumber tea first and ginger at the end is way beyond those places as well. We have worked our way through the spa "menu" over our stays and each option is as good as the last- including a wonderful massage treatment to reduce jetlag. Breakfast is a la carte, with a main, fruit, a "side" dish (bigger than my normal breakfast), choice of teas and coffees and freshly squeezed juice. All served beautifully. A Grab taxi to/from the airport is about £10 We stayed at the beginning and the end of our trip back purely to go to the Sudamala at Seraya island- which was also fabulous.
