Sudamala Resort, Sanur, Bali

Location was great. Short 5 min walk to beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping as you walk out of the resort. I loved all the Gardens. Very quiet and peaceful by the pool. Breakfast had a great selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

After twenty-five hours of flying, I arrived late, jet-lagged, and honestly just grateful for a bed. What I found was so much more than that. I’d quietly asked about switching to a quieter room, fully expecting to tough it out on the street side, but the next morning the staff already had a plan and a new room ready before I could even ask again. That’s the kind of place this is: they anticipate your needs before you voice them. From the security and valet team to the bellboys, lobby staff, and the restaurant crew, every single person radiated genuine warmth. Not the polished, rehearsed kind, the real kind. I felt less like a guest and more like a visiting family member. The food was incredible, the included breakfast a highlight, and the 4hour deluxe spa treatment ending with a rose petal bath, was such extraordinary value I still can’t quite believe the price. Don't miss this one!! Perfect cure for any travelers jet lag! What struck me most was the magic of the place itself. You step in off a busy street and within seconds you’re in an oasis, all the noise melting away. It has the charm of an old, private Bali residence, intricate and charming. The pool area was my favorite spot of all. To the entire team: thank you for going the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. You turned a weary traveler into a grateful one.

Exceptional from start to finish! From the moment I stepped onto the property, the super-friendly, helpful staff greeted me. The grounds are incredible and very well-maintained. The breakfast was outstanding with many fresh and delicious choices every day. At the end of the day, cookies and a bedtime story were placed in my immaculate room in addition to plenty of water. And before my long flight, after my check-out, I was allowed to use all the facilities, including the stunning outdoor private shower and changing room, in their beautiful spa. I highly recommend Sudamala Sanur. I have never stayed at a more beautiful resort at an affordable price. Hope to return soon!

A mom who treasures her rare nights of solo travel, when I can finally savor some quiet and stillness. I appreciate a peaceful space to rest and recharge, and I notice the little touches that turn a stay into something memorable. Genuine warmth goes a long way with me.

Spent one night here and loved it! Such a beautiful hotel in the heart of Sannur. We arrived at night and a quick check-in later we were shown to our room. Our bed was decorated and there were some tropical fruits, cookies and a night time story to enjoy. We loved these little touches! The room was spacious and beautifully done up in local textiles and accents. We also had a balcony and enjoyed sitting out after dinner. Breakfast was also really good. Though we didn't have time, we did walk around the pool and spa, both of which looked really good. I would love to come back and spend more time here.

De rust en het comfort is heerlijk. De bediening super vriendlijk.

Buildings, pool and grounds are beautiful. Staff lovely and very helpful. Breakfast excellent. Good location.

Unfortunately our room was a disappointment - to look at great, good size and layout but due to it's location in the resort the bathroom area was constantly damp - our towels and bathers wouldn't dry at all, I would have loved to be 'environmentally friendly' and reuse our towels for a few days but that was not an option and putting on damp bathers was also not ideal especially to then walk to the beach. We also had an outdoor sitting area which we couldn't use because of the dampness as well. Also we had issues with howling dogs next door - we have been to Bali enough to understand there will be local 'noises', no objection to the morning rooster or a bit of dog barking but this was incessant howling like they were in pain or being tortured, it went on throughout the day and then from about 4.30am every morning. We did speak to the staff and they looked at moving us but as the resort was fully booked that wasn't an option, they did offer us a complimentary massage which was a lovely gesture but didn't help the problem. Would I stay at Sudamala again, probably not due to our room experience.

This was our second stay at the Sudamala Resort in Sanur—and it once again confirmed why we were so excited to return. The entire staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The hotel also excels in every way when it comes to dining—the food is outstanding. A special highlight is breakfast in the morning, accompanied outdoors by two gamelan players—a very atmospheric and authentic experience. The resort also features a fine art collection and its own gallery, which adds an extra cultural touch to the stay.

The restaurant is excellent. Especiallyvtheir eggs Benny. The staff are most helpful and obliging. The rooms are spacious and clean.
