The steps…it’s really difficult to get from point A to B because there are hundreds of steps

A lot of ants in bed / room. Hotel not very clean. Breakfast bad. Neighbourhood not nice

Un petit déjeuner minimaliste (il faut réclamer les œufs, pas de fruits, beaucoup de gâteaux très caloriques), un accès peu rassurant dans une ruelle, une machine à café en chambre qu’on ne peut pas faire fonctionner et aucune intervention malgré ma demande

Very chic and stylish hotel in an amazing location. The rooftop bar is the pièce de résistance with stunning views.

If I’m being picky, the walk from lower street level is a shift but it does negate the need for a gym - some kinda liked it.

It was a beautiful place and very calm, which is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city. The views are absolutely phenomenal and the people very friendly and attentive.

Pool was lovely, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

The stairs to the pool are very many so in the heat it’s very tiring to go up there. We had to change rooms at the beginning because the water smelled of sewage and the room was very outdated and old.

Breakfast was good, with eggs and tapioca pancakes to order. Staff was friendly and great, and they spoke English! Pool had a nice view. Free bottle of water in the room.

LOCATION!! This was totally unclear from the site, but it is located near the entrance of a favela. Like many people, I had an Uber driver refuse to drive up. During daytime, the walk is fine, but during night, I felt unsafe walking up. I'm sure overall it is fine and tourists generally don't get hurt, but my tolerance for risk is quite low when traveling, and I felt incredibly unsafe in the area, and this prevented me from leaving the hotel past dark. It was also incredibly hard to find when checking in on the first da, because there are no signs that there is a hotel, and you have to press a button to be allowed to enter. Inside the hotel, it felt safe, and it was decorated nicely. However, there are a lot of stairs (wasn't a problem for me, but could be for other guests). The sound-proofing was horrible, and I could hear every noise coming from the hallway. The room was not fully clean, as I found a used floss pick on the floor.
