I ate a hearty freshly cooked full English. It was very good. A very good pub atmosphere. The building still retained old world charm

Lot of traffic noice at night.

The George is value for money the staff are friendly and very helpful especially the house keeper.The food was very good especially choice at breakfast.

The only thing was they only had Pepsi on tap no bottles of coco cola.

breakfast and food always consistent and very good. pleasant chat who prepared breakfast and well presented.

heating hit and miss and at the time was cold, single glazed old window with just roller blinds - doesnt stop the light and certainly doesnt help at all with the traffic noise which is relentless. while they cant change the traffic things could be done to buffer the noise. Depsit being told we couldnt get in our room until 3 due to cleaning when we did get in it didnt look like it had been cleaned it was very poor, hair in fridge all furniture had dust. sadly on that basis i wouldnt re book

Not much car parking

The staff were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate our dietary requirements and made us, and our dog, feel incredibly welcome!
