Casa Quetzal

Scenery was great from the rooftop. We had our own little atrium outside our room. Bathroom was big and was able to put all our toiletries next to sink. It had a little fridge which was good too. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

Nice hotel. Like the scenery.

Exceptional property

The room was impeccable. Our hosts, Miguelina and Sally, were kind, helpful, accommodating and made us feel as if we were family. This is our second stay and we won't stay anywhere else on future trips.

Beautiful hotel, great staff. Close to everything

We stayed here on a weekend getaway from Guadalajara. The hotel exceeded our expectations BUT there two little gotchas: 1) The WIFI signal is pretty weak in the common area and does not reach the rooms AT ALL. So if you're planning on working remotely, this isn't the place. And 2) It takes about 25 min for the valet to retrieve your car so plan accordingly.

Property is beautiful..needs a lot of maintenance..has stuff sitting around, to where otherwise inviting rooftop terraces, look more like storage for gardening and cleaning supplies, etc. Place very well located, easy walk to Centro. Property is misrepresented on its website and Expedia, as it has NO WiFi in the rooms, be it free or otherwise, and our phones would not even work to use internet. The free parking is a 30 minute walk from the property, and valet needs about an hour to deliver your car. There’s traffic; It’s Centro. No on site parking. The biggest issue was that we checked into our king suite, and the toilet would not flush. The YOUNG WOMAN working the desk was VERY HELPFUL, or tried to be. She worked on the toilet with a plunger for 20 minutes, though toilet was not clogged. It just wouldn’t flush. She thought she’d fixed it, and left. She returned about an hour later, wondering how it was going. I let her know it still would not flush. (There are no phones in the room to call the front desk). She messed with it again, at which point I asked whether they had another room, as we were ready to head to Centro. We didn’t really come to San Miguel de Allende to sit around the room dealing with plumbing issues. She said they had no other rooms, so I asked, “so we’re to spend the afternoon, all night, and tomorrow morning, with a toilet that won’t flush?” She left to check.We moved to a room, downgrade to double bed, fixed that toilet ourselves.Nice staff!

It is a very nice place with walking distance to everything. The main plaza/churches and very close to restaurants, shops. Check around the hotel, there are rooftops to hang out.

Comfortable bed, very quiet, in the heart of SMA, sweetest staff, this is an authentic vintage space, nothing fancy. A great value for the price. We would definitely stay again.

This small hotel was not only beautiful but the manager,Jesus and Administrator, Miguela were the kindest, most accommodating and generous people, not innkeepers, people that my husband and I have met in a long time. Our stay was magical and healing for me. American innkeepers could learn a lot from these genuinely kind people. We will most definitely be back.
