We came back to Senseana on Sunday, August 24th, 2025. Second year in a row for us. Let’s just say the week didn’t start exactly perfect: we walked into our room and found a leak from the AC, apparently because the previous guests didn’t bother closing the balcony door while the air conditioning was running. Not the hotel’s fault, but still a bit of a bummer.
Now here’s the part that shows why we love this place. The staff didn’t panic, didn’t make a big deal, just calmly told us everything would be fine, and then went ahead and set us up in a much nicer upgraded room. At first we were told it might only be for 48 hours until they figured things out, but then Michael (legend!) came back to us, apologized for the inconvenience, and said we could stay in the upgraded room for the rest of our vacation. On top of that, he added 30 minutes at the spa for my wife. Not for me, I’m not really a spa guy, I’d probably just fall asleep on the massage table.
The staff were simply amazing the entire time, every single one of them. Friendly, warm, and just genuinely pleasant. You can feel it’s not an act, they really care. Big shout out to Michael again, who took care of us all week long.
This was our second time at the resort, we came last year too, and it definitely won’t be the last. We already know we’ll be back next summer. Why mess with a winning formula?
The water park is a blast, our little two year old didn’t want to leave, and the pool is super nice. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add more shaded areas around the main pool, especially for kids. To be fair, though, most of the kids’ time was spent in the water park, where there’s already plenty of shade.
Last year we came with the extended family. This year it was just me, my wife, our toddler, and another couple with their little one. Both times were fantastic in their own way.
So once again, huge thanks to the whole Senseana team for making our holiday such a great experience.
