We had an excellent stay. The views were breathtaking and the lodge fantastic! A perfect start to our honeymoon!

The food was great as were the views. We really liked the location.

Unheated pool, outside shower with dirty tiles to cross to get to it, decades old fitness equipment all outside, upselling focus eg still water with dinner (not branded bottles), lack of soft furnishings, basically all was very basic and needed lifted a few levels. There was nothing executive about it in my opinion

Good breakfast but dinner was exceptional. The quality and presentation of the food was amazing, in particular for something that is included in the stay. The view bar is only open for a few hours in the afternoon during sunset, but the view (and cocktails) do not disappoint, so don't miss catching the sunset there. The landscaping over the entire premises is very beautiful and well done. Well located for visiting the 7 coloured earth, the coffee plantation and the Rumerie. You can also book massages in the spa on the premises, or take a yoga class (with a view). Next time we come, we will book one of the rooms with the sea view.

Our stay in the Piton Canot suite was the highlight of our holiday in Mauritius -spectacular views of the Piton and coastline, with its own pool. We were able to see monkeys, and watch parakeets and fruit bats flying past. We had a totally relaxing time and wished we could have stayed longer!

This was not a problem for us but it is a steep climb up the hill from the restaurant. Buggies are available and were much appreciated!

The wildlife and surroundings were incredible. A constant birdsong. Staff were very friendly and personable, and would always look to cater for your needs. The Sunset view bar was a lovely way to spend the evenings.

The room only had an outdoor shower, which was lovely during the day, but not ideal during the dark or when it was raining. It would complete the room if there was both an indoor and outdoor shower.

The location is breathtaking. It’s in the middle of a vibrant green forest on the slopes of Chamarel. The mountain and garden lodge we had was beautiful and decorated to fit within the forest. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is very tasteful with hints of the local cuisine (we had breakfast and diner included). The view from the bar is amazing during sunset as well. All details were right!
