Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

We travel a LOT, and this resort is at the top of the list for overall experience. Top notch service, good food, incredible room, beautiful grounds, and the view is incredible. I recommend going December - February to see all the whales playing in the bay. Two people are very deserving of special mention. Adrian at the breakfast and lunch buffets is the absolute best! He had our table and drinks ready as soon as he saw us. He went out of his way to take our plates as we were walking and take them to the table for us, and he brought us a special dessert on our departure day. A very friendly, attentive, delightful person. Also, Junior "Why Not" in pool service. He would make a place for us every day and brought us fresh drinks whenever he saw us getting low. He always had a friendly smile, and he works SO hard taking care of everyone.

Super and wonderful experience as the location was awesome and food excellent. Great family time spent. One of the best places to be at PV. Booking early may give a good deal otherwise expensive.

The property itself is beautiful and meticulously kept including the pools, the beach, and the hotel itself. Our room, which was the penthouse had a spectacular view, and was also kept so clean, although it was a bit dated. There were two issues which were echoed by some of the people we met: the first is the food. It was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had in any restaurant and that covers all of the restaurants we went to. Neither my daughter or I are picky eaters but every meal aside from breakfast was so bad that we ended up going out of the resort to eat dinner. The other issue we had was the blasting club music that went on through much of the day outside and the night in the foyer during different activities. I’m talking loud!!! Even the entrance to the hotel has a loudspeaker which blasts music most of the day. So if you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation or you can hear the waves this resort is not for you sadly. I expected during water aerobics classes, but it just never ends. We tried to escape down to the beach, but it was that loud that you could not escape it. I realize that many guests might enjoy the party atmosphere but it wasn’t something we were expecting with the expense that we were paying in an adult only resort. The staff were extraordinary; professional, friendly, highly capable and meticulous.

Secrets Vallarta Bay was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was our first time at this resort. We travelled in early December and stayed for 9 nights. We were greeted by friendly staff and introduced to Maricruz, our UVC rep, who was absolutely great. She is so welcoming and helpful and made our stay very special. We would also like to thank Gibran. a very knowledgeable and friendly fellow who helped us with our membership. We especially loved the beach and the restaurants. The food and drinks were terrific and the service was superb. A special shout-out goes to Hector, Octavio and Rosendo at Oceana as well as to Alfonzo, our waiter at the Wine Cellar dinner at Bordeaux. Our favorite restaurant was Tamarindo, the Mexican restaurant, where we went three times and each time were waited on by Jovan and Octavio who made every meal a very special experience. Alma, who oversees that restaurant, does a great job. The only thing we thought could be improved at this resort is the nightly entertainment in the lobby and in the theatre on the Dreams side. We would recommend a city tour. Ours included a stop at a tequila facility for tastings and lunch at a nearby restaurant and was very enjoyable. We had a fantastic time at Secrets Vallarta Bay and definitely recommend this resort. We will certainly return!

We had a great time at the resort and would happily come back. The beach areas were beautiful and relaxing, and the overall vibe was exactly what we wanted for a getaway. Our room was clean and well kept, and housekeeping did a great job throughout the stay. Service was the highlight of the trip. Jose Becerra, our butler, was exceptional and made everything easy from start to finish. He was attentive, responsive, and genuinely cared about our experience, even checking in on me after I stepped on a sea urchin. Aurelio at the beach was also fantastic and made our beach days even better with great service and a welcoming attitude. The food was ok overall, not the best we’ve had, but there were still plenty of solid options to enjoy. Between the beach, the cleanliness, and the standout service from Jose and Aurelio, we left really happy with our stay.

My wife and I spent two awesome weeks at Secrets Vallarta Bay Resort. This was our fifth time staying at this resort because we love it. The location is very nice, the food is very good but it’s the staff and service that keeps us coming back. In the preferred tower you are assigned a service provider. Our assistant, for the last couple years, has been Jose Becerra. Jose is very helpful with any assistance we need. He knows the area well and always has the best recommendations for things to see, places to go and where to eat. Jose treats us like family.

This was not our favorite Secrets/Dreams resort experience. The overall resort is nice, but the adults only Secrets side is not as private as one would hope. The layout puts many rooms too close to the sounds of kids most are trying to escape. The service was great around the pools but not as great when it comes to housekeeping and amenities. The beach is very pretty. Puerto Vallarta is awesome.

We had a great experience at Secrets Vallarta Bay and the value was fine. Aurelio in the pool area and the beach was there for us everyday. He was ready to serve us from 10:30 to 6:30. He did a fantastic job. The room was perfect. The daily turndown service was awesome and the room was cleaned daily. The location was ideal. The adults only side at Secrets was what we were looking for. A perfect atmosphere. We would recommend all the restaurants at both Secrets and Dreams. One morning the whales gave us a show. 8.5 minute video. The only con was the nightly noise of the trucks pumping out the waste system. Very loud.

Very nice resort, clean facilities, amenities and excellent selection of food and beverages, good service overall. Would recommend this resort in Puerto Vallarta. The evening entertainment needs improvement for adults only resort. Special honours to Victor Hugo, UVC representative, and Ivan, gym and entertainment coordinator. Both were very friendly and professional.

A huge thank you to Janna for the amazing SUP yoga sessions — such a fun and relaxing experience on the water! Also, thank you to Jacky for the yoga classes, which were perfectly balanced, calming, and energizing. And a big shout-out to Jimmy from the entertainment team for bringing great energy and making everything even more enjoyable. Truly a fantastic experience all around!
