Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

Puerto Vallarta was amazing!!! Been to Cozumel, Cancun a few times & Acapulco years ago & although amazing vacations/business trips to Mexico every time, I truly felt safest & every single Mexican person we met in PV was over the top friendly. The hotel, pool/beach area was terrific as was the food & beverage service during the day. The Market Cafe, Barefoot Grill, Teppanyaki Tables & Bay Cafe were outstanding, however, the other restaurants & food was hit & miss. Did not appreciate the exceptionally slow check in process at the Preferred Club Lobby & the high pressure presentation that we seemed to be pressured into attending that wasted the entire 1st morning of our vacation. When we declined becoming a Hyatt Member because of the ridiculously high entrance fee, it appeared that we offended the sales agent & manager. They did not want to take no for an answer. Our so called Butler was mediocre & did not go out of his was to accommodate a few simple requests. The biggest disappointment of our all inclusive vacation was that there was absolutely no Canadian Whiskey on the resort. Being that our go-to & primary drink of choice is Canadian Whiskey, for this fact alone, we will never go back to this resort. If we would have known this going in, we would not have selected this resort. We asked our Butler to go off-site to buy some for us, that we were willing to pay for, he wasn’t willing to accommodate our small request. When we have travelled to other all-inclusive resorts in the past, we have come up across our preferred brand being unavailable, although Canadian Whiskey was available, & our Butler was more than happy to get it for us at no cost. Very disappointing here.

Overall, we had a great trip. The service staff was great but the management was terrible. Daniel took great care of us at the pool. He was attentive and friendly. Miriam was also great in the Preferred Club lounge. The location is great very close to town. The service at the restaurants was speedy and food was good. On the downside, we had a couple of issues, one minor but one significant and the management did little to nothing to address the problems and in both cases were disrespectful and blamed us and our friends we were traveling with for problems that were clearly not our fault.

everything was wonderful. Enjoyed the view. Enjoy the pool. Enjoy the food. Enjoyed everything in our butler. Jose was awesome.

This is a beautiful property, close to the airport. Food, drinks and service are excellent. We were a group of 10 celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday and it was incredible. Shout out to our preferred butler Jose Becerra. He was extraordinary! Meyda in the Bay Cafe was super sweet, pool waiters Fernando & Alejandro took excellent care of our group of 10. They always made sure we weren’t waiting for drinks. This is an amazing resort and highly recommend!

Everything at Secrets was five Star, especially the service. My ocean view suite was amazing! Our butler, Jose, was attentive to our every need. Beautiful resort and beach, delicious food, five star service, you got to treat yourself to a week at Secrets Vallarta.

The number of times I was woken up despite having the “do not disturb” sign is unbelievable. I went there to relax, but I was woken up at 6:50 am by knocking on my door while staying at the preferred club. Other than a lack of peace, everything was great.

As a UVC member, I expected a more elevated level of service and curated experiences. Unfortunately, the property itself felt dated and in need of significant maintenance. Issues included scuffed walls, inadequate lighting, wet and poorly maintained pool bathrooms, and threadbare towels. While I anticipated longer wait times during a busy holiday period, the restaurant reservation process—particularly for the hibachi—was extremely disorganized and frustrating. The highlight of the week was the staff, especially at the Market Café and the pool. Cesar, with his traveling tequila bar, truly made a difference. He proactively asked how he could improve our stay, personally arranged a steak dinner, and went above and beyond to make us feel valued and special. His service was the standout of our trip. I will be returning to my other favorite Secrets. Not this one.

Fantastic Trip! We stayed at SVB for 5 nights end of December. A truly wonderful resort - in our opinion, the food is not as good as Secrets Bahita Mita (we stayed there Nov 2025). However, the service was top notch. Special shout out to Jose Becerra, our butler as he checked in with us every day and taok care of reservations or anything that was needed. We will definitely be back. If your looked for a great resort - this is the place!

Our recent stay at this resort offered many exceptional features that contributed to an enjoyable experience. The accommodations were outstanding—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The swim-out pool provided a luxurious touch, and the resort grounds were beautifully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere throughout. Dining was a highlight, with excellent food quality and variety across all restaurants and the buffet. Service was consistently professional and welcoming, particularly at the Market Café, where staff went above and beyond. Additional amenities such as the coffee shop and gelato bar were delightful, and the lobby deck offered stunning sunset views, making it an ideal spot for evening drinks or morning coffee. However, there were aspects of the experience that detracted from the overall enjoyment. The poolside music during the day was excessively loud, which made relaxation challenging. In the evenings, entertainment programming between Secrets and Dreams lacked coordination—the venues are situated so closely that simultaneous events, such as karaoke at one resort and a DJ at the other, created an overwhelming and discordant atmosphere. Additionally, the persistent efforts by Hyatt staff to promote membership programs were intrusive. Multiple approaches were made, often with offers of discounts on services, which felt inappropriate for a premium vacation experience. Guests should be able to enjoy their holiday without feeling pressured by sales tactics immediately upon arrival. In summary, while the resort is visually stunning and offers many exceptional amenities, these issues—particularly the aggressive membership promotions and poorly planned entertainment—would influence our decision to explore alternative options for future stays.

Best all inclusive experience ever! A positive vibe as soon as you are greeted. Attention to detail in all areas of the resort make this resort so classy.
