Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

We have been to Secrets Vallarta Bay many times over the past few years. It's one of our favorites and it feels like it's making a bit of a comeback. Updates I noticed: Our room was the cleanest it's ever been The pool has definitely received upgrades - all the tile was in great shape, they were very clean, the pool maintenance crew checked the water multiple times per day, and they were actually heated! The customer service has always been excellent, but the room service was better than it's been - the few times we needed an ice bucket it took minutes instead of an hour. We visited the Oasis Cabana on the Dreams side and it has had a complete overhaul since our last trip. Brand new and the pool was upgraded and heated. No nagging from the Vacation Club to upgrade, just great service and friendliness. The beach is in better condition than I've ever seen it and it seems there are less vendors. Can't wait to go back next winter!

The resort is nice, however, the rooms are a little dated but clean. The food was great at each restaurant we ate at. The staff at the resort is very friendly and helpful. Our Butler, Jose, was awesome! He made sure we had everything we needed. During our stay, we experienced a water leak under our sink. Jose ensured the leak was repaired expeditiously. Additionally, he went out of his way to make reservations for our group both on and off property. We really appreciated him going the extra mile for us.

The resort was great. Wish the water was safe to get into but its just a risk with the river being so close and crocodiles being nearby. The pools were sufficient. The massage on the beach was out of this world. The service was great. Especially Angeles and Maria. Great location.

The good: one of the most beautiful and comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. We were in the Oceanview Jr Suite, which is the base type I think. The bathtub was luxurious. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Free room service is pretty nice. The crowd was older white retired middle class ready to party. Very friendly people. The mediocre: the service was fine. The food was Applebee's quality. The spa was grossly overpriced. The location is a cheap Uber ride to shopping and popular beaches and restaurants. Very little in walking distance. The bad: The beach isn't recommended for swimming. The beach and pool chairs are filled by 10:30am with cruise ship style competition. The roosters that live in the empty lot next door. The "concierge" service that is just there to funnel you to the spa and the time share presentations. The reservation system for the two restaurants that require reservations, you have to physically go to the desk at 10am to make a same day appointment. Tips: one half of this hotel is "Dreams' that is a family hotel and " secrets" is the adult hotel. Strangely, the food is significantly better at Dreams with the walk in half of the Asian restaurant being the best of the mediocre choices. It is hard to find the Asian and Mexican restaurants. They are near the amphitheatre. There are 3 great massage studios just outside the entrance to the hotel for $30 an hour. We were able to walk in for a couples massage at Essence Massage and it was a great massage!

We always love coming back to our “home”! Jose, is the best! We also appreciate Omar(our amigo) Carlos(happy waiter), Daniel, Caleb, Junior, Pedro, Adrian, Hugo! We always have an amazing time coming to secrets. All our friends want to come with because of the service we receive and the fun time we always have! Honestly, one of the greatest places to go to♥️

We loved the room , stayed in the preferred king ocean view. The beach was great! Loved the pool and the service was fabulous. Our butler Jose Becerra was absolutely fantastic!!! We will return!!

My wife and I had the wedding of our dreams at this resort! We had a large group of family/friends visit during November 2025 and everyone loved their stay. Working with the Hotel was easy and they provided excellent service, not for just the wedding but for the whole week everyone was there. We were fortunate to work with Livier Cortes and she was amazing! She was attentive for the whole process and very responsive leading up to our wedding day. Her clear communication and schedule for the wedding week made it easy for us to relax and truly enjoy the moment. We will definitely be back at this resort, thanks to Livier and the rest of their team making it such a memorable experience! 10 out of 10

Unbelievable resort! Beautifully landscaped, exceptional food and most importantly the very best employees who were always there to help and did so with a smile. Highly recommend!

Best relaxing vacation ever-loved the all-around quality-"checked" all my "boxes". Weather in January was phenomenal and not humid. Personnel are professional, friendly with desire to please. Fabulous dining choices-love the cafes, buffets, restaurants, and beach grill. The compactness of Secrets means you don't have to walk far to enjoy it. Great views of the Bay, especially at Sunset. Enjoyed wedding fireworks and whale sightings. Beach nice to walk, but swimming in the bay is very rough water and rough bottom, can get seriously roughed up by the surf. Loved the easy going fun pool activities, peaceful mornings by the pool facing the bay, and more active afternoons! Get your pool chairs early on! Will be back!
