The staff was always very friendly

Hit and miss So on first impressions of the hotel seemed very fancy and lovely. I stayed in room 101 and the noise was unreal - you can hear when a joining rooms (above and next door) go to the toilet, when they have a shower etc. Also the noise on an evening in the corridor (easily into early hours of the morning) then the staff start in the morning. So whilst the bed is comfy don’t expect a good night sleep or even a lie in as the noise starts again from 7.00/7.30am The balcony - well there isn’t one for this room. Your view is a car park and cranes also you’re straight out onto the ground floor where people sun bath. No privacy at all. People walking past you as the stairs are right next to 101. Location and first impressions is it is very nice however with zero privacy to sit outside and the noise unfortunately I wouldn’t rush back. I went away for a few days rest and unfortunately heading home more tired then when I arrived.

We have just returned from a girls weekend away and had a great time. We were 3 friends wanting some sun and relaxation and that is what we got. The room we shared was great, plenty of room for 3 single beds and the bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower. The breakfast was fresh with a wide range of choice and the evening meal was buffet style with plenty of choice including, hot and cold options, fresh fish, meat, salads and desserts. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The hotel is right on the promenade and over looking the beach. We were not able to have a late check out as the hotel was fully booked however we used the shower in the Spa to change before our evening flight home. Ideal hotel for a short break away as only 30 mins drive from Girona airport.

The hotel is everything it says it is on the Jet2 app. Check in and out was smooth; the reception staff in particular are nice, smart and professional. The hotel has being dressed beautifully in all areas, but in particular the inside open spaces. Our room 504 was as expected, we had booked a sea view but they are a side view - there is plenty of beach to see. A slight bug bear is the huge cranes in what appears to be a building site with nothing happening. Sea - blink - mountain view lol. Our balcony was incredibly hot from 2ish until the sun moved past and the plastic settee was not suitable to hot weather, solved with a cheap tree of life covering from the market. A hotel across the way was very intrusive with its music; I mentioned to reception; quick call and it was turned down. We had the breakfast option which had a good choice of foods for everyone including gluten free. Whilst the staff were efficient they could have done to be more smiley. The Kalina beach bar is literally across the promenade; the beach chairs on an evening are fab and there was entertainment every night but started a little late at 9:30ish. The pool is smaller than expected but very nice and salty. Again the usual bug bear of the sun bed hoggers, putting towels on at 8am; there are notices asking people not to do it - clearly they can’t read. When I approached reception about this, apparently they aren’t allowed to remove them - why have the signs. We used the spa 3 times; absolutely fabulous.

For dinner, beverages including water are not included. Beach towel have a 10 Euro deposit each. Room safe’s are 5 Euro a day plus deposit. They are very strict on meal times. They close off dining room between meals.

Second visit as came with daughter last year and returned with friend this year. On arrival not happy with room allocated but Laura and her manger (sorry didn’t get her name) were absolutely fantastic changing both our rooms the next day. They both were extremely helpful and accommodating which we both were very pleased about. The hotel as stated is directly on seafront which is fabulous we spent most of our days on beach a little further up with the locals. There are loungers by the pool although most appear to be taken this year no problem to us as at beach. The pool also very clean checking regularly. The room was great spacious good view of sea, the hotel is on a strip so overlooking another hotel but no problem for us as sea views as well. Always clean and tidy… The restaurant is great always something to eat we went half board plenty of choice always staff very friendly especially the older gentleman working there ( he was there last year) Would recommend value for money .

Just returned from a fabulous week at this hotel. Great location beside the sea and free sunbeds for hotel guests . Rooms were fresh & clean & daily room service was spot on. 3 of us shared a room which was a bit cramped but that was down to our choice . Staff throughout were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Plenty of choices of food in the dining area .. definitely something for everyone. Entertainment at the hotel & locally…would definitely recommend just wish we had stayed longer .!

The plus points for this hotel far out-way the bad but there just a few things that don’t quite make it 5 star ( for me anyway ).. The good points - it’s clean, tidy and set within a stones through of a beautiful beach..just be aware the beach is very stoney, not much smooth sand. The staff were really friendly and very quick and helpful, no matter where you were in the hotel..the food was limited, as you’d probably expect, but still offered a decent enough selection and always looked fresh and hot..the hotel is also just across the road from more pubs / restaurants / gift shops etc if that’s your thing.. The downsides ( and I appreciate the first one isn’t the hotels fault but it still had an impact for us ).. If you have a south facing balcony, like we did, then not only are you looking at a beautiful beach but also a building site..I appreciate this probably isn’t the hotels fault but it still causes noise and a lot of dust blowing onto the lounge area.. There simply aren’t enough loungers for the amount of guests and, despite loads of signs saying don’t dump your towels and disappear, loads of people did and didn’t come back for hours..fair play to the bar staff who would remove the towels if you asked but more loungers would ease what is an almost impossible situation to monitor.. The standard rooms were quite small and tired looking in places ( mould in certain area, door handle that wasn’t hung properly and a very dirty kettle )..not first world problems by any stretch of the imagination but for what we paid, for 3 nights, I thought it would be just a wee bit better.. I’m being a bit fussy..would definitely recommend the hotel, due to the close proximity of the beach especially..just a couple of things let it down..

Clean, modern and very comfortable hotel , excellent food choice and quality. Excellent location with beautiful beach just steps away and resort close by. Lovely touch with cava and cake in my room for my birthday , and a takeaway bfast for an early flight. Just a heads up the beach club and beach sun beds are not free but discount of 50%, as are a lot of the drinks .
