Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort

The reviews on this hotel are mixed and quite rightly so as the standards of service across the hotel are inconsistent Firstly most of the staff are hard working and all are friendly, however what lets the hotel down in the main is the service particularly in Kalinas which is supposed to be their flag ship restaurant with pre booking We waited over an hour for our starter and drink service was very slow.Putting that aside the reason the restaurants were much better particularly Salakas for lunch The Robinson Crusoe pub was another lace for food and some good after dinner drinking but the entertainment is lacking Buffet breakfast had a good selection to cater for most people Unfortunately during the day the drink kiosk around our small pool wasn’t always available but it was only a short stroll to the one at the main pool Everywhere was clean and tidy the pools were cleaned daily and the beach seaweed removed everyday by 2 very hard working males Another issue people have raised is there’s no beach which is true and a shame but being on the Atlantic is never a good choice if you want a swim in the sea There is still some oil deposits in the sand so a walk along it isn’t recommended and it’s only a short stretch anyway The hotel offers a mix of trips out and a nice touch is they supply a basic packed lunch The golf course was a bonus with plenty of wild life around for non golfers If you want to go off site it is a bit remote like most of these all inclusive hotels but the hotel offers a mix free shuttle bus to pigeon beach several days a week The grounds were well tendered although the glass around Salakas could do with a clean so the views could be more appreciated

The front office manager was very accommodating. We arrived at the hotel earlier in the morning and he provided us the courtesy to check in earlier to start our day! This was very much appreciated as we had a driver waiting to take us around.

Despite some maintenance issues on some parts of property, the room was gorgeous. Food was excellent, staff were kind

Nice for a shirt getaway

The property was safe and it was great that breakfast was included There was not much of a beach

Utility system no hot water bath toilet bath tubes are are out dated very old and dirty And Not properly Attainder All doors are very tight and Lot of strengths require to open or slide horribles state

The people were fine but the property needs some serious work

In need of serious upgrade

Excellent experience overall. Friendly staff. Clean surroundings. Great breakfast.
