A great Experience

Overall good but we did not like the fact we had to pay an additional $500tt fee to check in early AND there was a $100tt fee to shuttle to the airport and your add said that airport shuttle is included.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this resort. The facilities are a little dated, but the staff was great and the rooms were very clean. There is no ATM on the property, so it’s best to get cash in town before arriving. Views were breathtaking, pools were great and restaurants were ok. Overall, I highly recommend and will be going back again next year.

We are guests at Magdalena now . We have been here for a week, all inclusive. We have so enjoyed our time in beautiful Tobago. Our room, though a little weary, is clean and comfortable. There’s a fan, air con, a fridge, bath, shower, hot water and a great TV. The bed is very comfortable and I’ve scored a great sleep score every night on my fit bit! Adequate charging points too. The service is Caribbean. We have fantastic service in every area especially if you engage. Then you will be rewarded. The food is wholesome with local specialties and we enjoyed every all inclusive meal. Hunting down the available bars and restaurants and when they are open was interesting and I recommend that you make use of the itinerary which is easily available from the front desk. All the pools are open, clean and refreshing. The only downside is the poolside furnishings. The sunbeds and parasols are tired and need replacing. We have really enjoyed our week at The Magdalena. Our particular thanks to all the staff, especially Natisha, Rhonda, June, Susan. The grounds are well maintained and the ocean side location is breathtaking. The gentle breeze whilst we were here was pleasant and cooling although I see that it is forecast to get windy next week after we have left.

Had a medical emergency Could not be in safer hands Mackisha (Ms Cando) was exceptional She took over and made me at ease. I hope management recognise the effort Machisa and the team put in to ensuring all guests are the highest priority PS special mention to Nackisha in the restaurant who help with all my food requirements in the time of need

We are currently staying at this Hotel and it is the worst Hotel for service that I have ever stayed in It quite often takes at least 15 minutes before being asked if you would like a drink and then it takes another 15 or 20 minutes to receive it if indeed you don't have to ask again Much the same when ordering food it seen to take forever sometime in excess of 45 minutes to get your food and when you do eventually receive it it is cold Today I waited 45 minutes for my lunch and gave up absolutely dreadful service two supervisors were stood talking to each other for 30 minute while people were left waiting for their food

Vintage Resort .. will. Wed some modern upgrades like more outlets in the room.

We recently returned from a ten day trip to the hotel, and I have to say that anything I write will have been mentioned in previous reviews. I will however make a few observations; The location is pretty good, surrounded by the golf course and 'lush' forest with the sea views not bad either! The beach is not great and the winds on this part of the Atlantic have been very 'gusty' for the last three months, so sea swimming from the beach is not an option and as a former strong open water/sea swimmer I would say dangerous!! Yes, the hotel looks a little 'tired' and could do with a refurb, but the deal we got was so good YOU cannot moan too much!! The same can be said of the rooms, a little bit of 80's decor, however they are spacious, functional and easily met all out requirements, including the bathroom. The staff are very good, the service sometimes 'hit & miss' and the food also very good I hope you like your carbs!! On this subject you need to check when the various restaurants are open and closed, this changes every Sunday and you should get a timetable with your welcome pack, we DID NOT and it was very inconvenient for the first week. So, would I return Yes! But only on the 'all inclusive' option. And none of the minor issues spoilt what was otherwise a great trip. But please replace those 'sunbeds' as soon as possible, for this reviewer with back issues, 99% were awful. Recommended.
