The Ugadale Hotel and Cottages

The views from our cottage was amazing. Too hear the waves from my room was so soothing.

really nice hotel in a fantastic setting and we really enjoyed our stay , very helpful and friendly staff ,the only kinda negatives I could mention was the fact they have a beautiful lounge bar but only use it for breakfast ,and you have to go to the pub for lunches , dinner or a drink ,also the same group own the golf club but you can't go there for a meal either

Arrived to discover restaurant was not open due to staff shortages, cost b&b £209 but room small and view to rear ie parking. Shower excellent however. Staff very helpful but very disappointed that required to get mini bus to Royal Hotel Campbeltown to eat which I do not recommend.

Very nice stay at the Ugadale Hotel

This was a lovely hotel. Full of golfers and holidaymakers . Our room was very nice, not much of a view but seeing the sun and friendly staff was nice.

Hotel was a bit old fashioned. Disappointing that the dining room was closed and we were not informed until we arrived.

We stayed 4 nights. Receptionist was excellent, and found us a double aspect room with brilliant views. The room was very large and comfortable, with a luxurious bathroom. Unfortunately, the main dining room was not open due to COVID-19, and the bar food in the linked pub next door was pedestrian. Food at the partner Royal Hotel in Campbeltown (to which we were taken the following evening in a paid taxi) was more interesting.

Lovely old building, good lift, comfortable room and bed, good breakfast in bar, good parking Staff helpful but sparse, no luggage porter, no newspapers, very poor Internet connection, all meals apart from breakfast in Old Clubhouse, no sense of other guests. Not sure if charge of £200 per night plus more at weekends, plus £10 for breakfast justified in present circumstances.

Beautiful cottages right on the coastline in a gorgeous part of the country. Highly recommended.

The tiles in the bathrooms were loose, and there were no instructions on how to use the cooker or microwave/grill/oven
