Hotel Adler - Post

Vi besøgte kun hotellet for en enkelt overnatning. Vi blev meget venligt modtaget af værten, som viste os værelset og besvarede vores spørgsmål. Meget behagelig oplevelse. Værelset var perfekt med en stor balkon med en fantastisk udsigt. Restauranten var hyggelig med dejlig mad. Virkelig fin betjening hele vejen igennem. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales.

I booked this hotel for a group of us that were on a motorcycle tour heading through Germany and into Italy. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left the hotel the service was excellent and all of our needs were accommodated. The Fraulein was brilliant, attentive and even got the better of one of our group who is renown for being a bit of a joker. Covered parking for the motorcycles and a scenic location with plentiful local walks along the river or through the forest to work off the excesses of the evening meal along with some local hostelries for liquid refreshment along the way. Every member of the group were thoroughly impressed with the hotel and the service with a consensus of opinion that we would all go back again without giving it a second thought. Excellent.

Min datter og jeg nød vores ophold på dette hotel. Alt var bare i orden og til prisen kan man ikke forlange mere. Hvis jeg skal finde én negativ ting af nævne, så synes vi begge at dynerne var uforklarligt korte (og vi er ikke høje mennesker).

A long St Valentine's weekend was the occasion to show my wife the Black Forest I used to live and work in years before. I'd obviously read the reviews about the Adler-Post hotel and found them mainly positive, good sign. We announced a 5pm arrival but actually arrived at 3pm. The hotel looked empty which, barring us, it was (no snow, no tourists, the owner later said). Having read about the reception we made a beeline for the restaurant /main entrance and were immediately met by the owner and a suggested beer, always a good start. After a beer and a chat the owner showed us our room, compact but comfortable, clean and with immediate, no hassle Wifi connection. The first evening meal, the first of several typical "Black Forest" meals to come, was nice and above all generous in portion. Sleeping was not a problem, usually the first night in a strange hotel is spent fighting the pillow, not so here and some nine hours later, plus a small walk in the crisp Black Forest morning air, a breakfast buffet (for 2) with an offer of freshly made scrambled eggs (which tasted fresh, not the industrial variant you normally get in hotels) set us up for the day as it did the 2 following mornings. The owner even took the time to chat with us, also something rare and to be appreciated today. The evening meals, invariably of local specialties, were enjoyable and generous but if there is one thing I need to comment on that would be the desserts. Apart from a nice apple strudel there was only ice cream, which in summer is fine but in winter a warm slice tart or pie would have been nice.... Regional wines and beer were also very good and of course the service very attentive. Checking out was very convivial and efficient… on arrival I had asked if they needed a credit card swipe which was politely refused… the proof that the internet booking service was efficient as well! Conclusion. All in all a very enjoyable stay in spite of the weather (mostly wet) .My wife was a bit concerned about what we´d do but if you can´t go and enjoy the scenery visiting Baden-Baden is a Plan B worth considering. Burning question: Go again? Most definitely yes!

Just returned from a stay at the Adler Post Hotel which we found ideal and realy enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpfull if we have the chance we would stay there again. The area around is very pleasent with forrest walks and bus services to many other areas thanks Adler Post for a great stay.

This is a picture postcard hotel in a beautiful setting. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room which was perfectly clean and had a balcony looking out over the front of the hotel. We went down to the restaurant and were extremely delighted with the quality of the food. The trout starter with horseradish cream was gorgeous and the pork with spatzle was a revelation. The gentleman chef is gifted! Breakfast was a lovely buffet and again we were delighted by the quality. Mein host was attentive and friendly and I am ashamed to admit that somehow we managed to leave for our 6 hour journey with the key in my husband's pocket. The hotel emailed us and we arranged for DHL to deliver it back for us with our abject apologies. We would love to stay here again for a longer visit the next time we tour Germany... I just hope they would have us back

We took the hotel because of it's location, parking, free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. All was really great except Wi-Fi, our room was too far from the source, we used our internet downstairs on the patio and all was well. It was a delightful place and the food was excellent.

Lovely family run hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. An extremely pleasant stay, would recommend it.
