Schlosshotel Landstuhl

It was close to the castle. In my case, that didn't matter, because the castle just happened to be closed for those 2 exact days. It was about 10 minutes walking distance to shops and to OTHER hotels with restaurants, which was fortunate because schlosshotel's restaurant was (mostly) closed. They served a breakfast which was decent, but certainly not as good as other area hotels with similar price points.

The staff was friendly enough, but they were rarely around. I couldn't get them on the phone and they weren't usually at the desk. However, I was able to message them on booking.com. They would not give me a receipt for my stay while I was checking out, and claimed that I could get it on booking.com, but they were trying to send it via the messenger app on there and it wasn't working. They were eventually able to send it to my personal email. Kind of annoying if you need it for a travel voucher. Didn't have air conditioning, which was fine for the few days I was there because the weather was nice, but I could see that being a problem during warmer months. The restaurant was closed for everything except breakfast. This wasn't mentioned on google or on booking.com. If I would have known that, I would probably not have booked here. Also, the castle which was my main reason for staying here, was also closed. I'm glad I only booked a few days. I left for another, much nicer, much more modern hotel in Landstuhl (with air conditioning and 24/7 staff availability) which was almost the same price and I was much happier there. The view from the rooms is basically just the parking lot and some trees. You can't actually see the castle or Landstuhl from there. Better than staring at a street or another cement building, but still not worth the high cost in my opinion. Overall, the whole place gives the vibe of a business which is in its last throes of desperation before it finally closes for good.

Die Lage ist ein Träumchen 😊 Das Frühstück war sehr gut 😊 Das Zimmer war sehr stilvoll und farblich schön eingerichtet 😊

So schön das Zimmer war, aber leider war das Bad sehr staubig und die Duschwände sehr verkalkt... Da es nur Schummer-Licht gab, ist es erst auf den zweiten Blick aufgefallen... Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert und leider war die Rezeption ab 18Uhr nicht mehr besetzt (ich reiste erst später an)

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut
