"Don't miss out."

10.0

If you are anything like my wife and me then a hotel/motel room is nothing more than a place to sleep. At this price you can't expect the Ritz but I have never been treated better at any hotel no matter how many stars they earned. The owner allowed us to enter the room early took us into his office and on his computer showed us the must see sites in the area and gave us a discount book so that we would save money going to the attractions. He and his friend have recently opened the restaurant at the front of the motel and after a long day of sightseeing we sat down to perhaps the best meal we have had thus far in Israel. If Acre and Rosh HaNikra are not on your list of sites to see then they should be and if you are visiting the beautiful North in Israel then Nahariyya is a perfect beach town to stay in. I recommend motel G'Aton. One minute from the beach, close to transportation and anything else you might possibly need. And if you find that you do need something, just ask for it. The owner will go out of his way to provide for your every need.

"An ideal location offering good value for money"

8.0

We wanted a base to explore Northern Israel and this was an ideal spot, not a long walk from the railway station. The room was not ready when we got there (it was about 10.30 am) but we were able to leave our bags. The proprietor kindly arranged for a taxi to take us to Rosh Hanikra. We returned early evening from Akko to check in. We had an en-suite triple room which had three single beds, a table and chairs, plus tea and coffee making facilities - no mugs only paper cups - and a fridge. It wasn't a huge room but big enough for what we needed for one night. As we were escorted to the room, I was given some flowers by the proprietor which was a nice touch - shame we couldn't take them with us the next day - and he pointed out where everything was. He then returned a short while later with some biscuits for us to have with our drinks. There was a complimentary large bottle of water in the fridge. We ate out, but there was a communal kitchen with a fridge and microwaves and table and chairs if anyone wanted to self-cater. Everywhere seemed clean and the beds were comfortable. We wanted to head off early in the morning so the lack of breakfast was not an issue and we had been told where to leave the keys on departure.

"Good property in Nahariya"

10.0

My wife had to spend a night alone here at the hotel as she was going to a small village close by for her dance course. This is a very small basic hotel but he owner is extremely sweet and very helpful. She had extremely good things to say about the hotel and requested me to write the review on her behalf especially mentioning all the help she got from the owner a single woman traveller.

"Ga'aton needs work"

6.0

Though the proprietor is friendly, pleasant and available (mostly) the attention to guests needs a little help. The room was not cleaned nor towels replaced daily. We had to reuse our damp towels. WE were also rudely awakened at 2am by loud "guests" dragging their suitcases down the steps and yelling loudly.

"Not fancy but comfortable - great value"

8.0

Our group of five adults arrived here for a one night stay late in October. The rooms are not large, but all of the hotels we used in Israel had small rooms. That goes with being a budget hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We did have to carry our luggage upstairs, but that wasn't much of a problem. The owner of the motel very kindly shipped the voltage converter which I had left behind to our hotel in Jerusalem. It arrived there promptly in good condition. There was free parking nearby as well as multiple restaurants. The location is good too - close to the grotto on Israeli-Lebanon border and village of Akko. All in all, this is a good value for the budget traveler. Not for you if you expect the Waldorf-Astoria at a bargain price

"Small and intimate in Nahariya"

8.0

This small motel offers 17 small but comfortable and clean rooms just off the main street. Free parking just meters away. Does not include breakfast, but it is possible to obtain discounted voucher for restaurant just down the street. The property is non-smoking, but I received a room which clearly had a smoker staying there prior to my visit. No problem, they upgraded my stay to a better room (only one available) so not to suffer the bad smell. Location is great near the beach and good for touring the northern Mediterranean coast of Israel.

"Eat off the floor clean!"

Modest and comfortable, very close to the beach. The owner was extremely welcoming; flowers and cookies. We loved the reception but most of all appreciated how clean the room was. The area is filled with beach front restaurants and is quite fun.

"Simple & Clean"

6.0

The hotel is located in the northern beach city of Nahariya. Convenient for basing day-trips to the Upper Galillee. Not much more to do in town. The hotel is small, basic, renovated and located in a central place in the town. 5 min walk from the beach. The manager Moti is very helpful and outgoing. Parking on the street right next to the hotel was easy. The rooms are small, clean, minimal, functional. We got our money's worth.
