I cannot say enough nice things about Vivienne and her wonderful guest house. The bedrooms are terrific, as are the breakfasts and the hospitality. You'll want for nothing -- she's already considered what you need. There's a reason this place has such high marks -- Vivienne. We had an issue that required a lot of special attention, and she was brilliant. She's running a first-class establishment, and she is hard-wired to be a guest house owner. Plus, you won't meet a friendlier human. Everything about Sherwood Guest House has it on our list of places we will stay again. Thank you, Vivienne!

My teen son and I loved our stay here! Host Vivienne was lovely and very helpful, printing boarding passes for us and maintaining excellent communication prior to and during our stay. We would definitely return!

If your in Edinburgh this is the place to stay. Vivian The owner n host is full of joy and great information about her city. She set us on a perfect path of things to see. The inn is immaculate, updated and decorated beautifully. The breakfast room and food were delicious and had everything you needed. Highly recommended and if I’m back in Edinburgh. That’s where I’ll stay

Vivienne was amazing. Very welcoming and a great sense of humour. Sherwood House was lovely to stay at and made our visit to Edinburgh enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

We would come back in a heart beat. The guest house was charming & clean & cozy beds, and the most delicious breakfast. From there,,we walked all around the beautiful city of Edinburgh and back. Vivienne was very friendly & helpful & has a great sense of humor. We felt right at home after a horrible 27 hours of travel, and even had to arrive in the middle of the night. Feel lucky to have found this spot! See you soon Vivienne.

Vivienne is an exceptional hostess. All details including our special dietary needs were handled perfectly. Really comfortable beds. We highly recommend this guest house.

We loved our stay at the Sheerwood House! It’s a lovely and homey place, the breakfast was great and Vivian was absolutely a friendly and pleasant host!! I would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent location and easily accessible to city centre on foot or by bus. Room was fab and the beds were super comfy. Vivienne is an excellent host and couldn't do enough for us to make sure we had a great stay. Would highly recommend!
