Everything, location was amazing. Beds and room was very comfortable.

Very friendly, attentive , polite staff. Superb location. Excellent food.

It's a pub with rooms, not a hotel. The bathroom was good (room 7) though the door needed hanging the other way so you could actually get in there without almost having to climb onto the window sill, and there's no caddy in the shower. Noisy plumbing.. Nice that towels, soap, and shampoo etc were provided. Room 7 really was a single room, into which a small double bed (not very comfortable) had been crammed. No bedside tables or lamps, poor WiFi reception, no phone, not enough sockets and none equipped with USB. Poor lighting. Only one chair and that was under the TV. So two people had to sit on the bed, leaning against the headboard to watch said TV. Irritatingly, the light switches were behind the headboard, so every time we leaned back the lights switched off....Use one of the lids from the coffee/tea caddies to shield the switches (top tip!). Copious amounts of milk, coffee etc were provided in the room...which was great. As noted on other reviews, you have to stagger up two flights of narrow, poorly lit stairs, lugging your own bags, to reach your room. If you're frail or lame, forget it. Also, there's a 6 foot plus huge mirror apparently leaning against a landing wall half way up the stairs, that worried me ... was it anchored in some way??? Sound proofing between this room and the one next door was non-existent....we heard every laboured breath, roaring snore and digestive rumble...... Check-in is about 4pm, which is late if you're used to hotels. I enjoyed myself there. The staff are great. The food is great. The location is great. And apparently you can take dogs! How good is that?!? But it's a pub with rooms, not a hotel. If you know you're going to a pub with rooms, and you're able to manage two flights of stairs, you'll have a great time. If you're expecting a hotel, with hotel quality amenities, you might be slightly disappointed. But I would certainly return. PS.

The position, the friendliness of staff, the room, especially the amazing view and the delicious breakfast. We were particularly impressed with care taken to accommodate a food allergy.

For us, the stairs to the bedroom were a problem. Also we’d have liked the bed to be made daily and a bar of soap and shampoo provided, but these were all minor.

The location is everything and the view from the room simply stunning. Bedroom was spotless bathroom very modern and clean. All of the staff, very friendly and helpful. Had dinner there and the food was lovely and excellent value for money.

The only negative was the power of the shower in room one. It was quite weak, but in comparison to everything else I wouldn’t even be able to deduct a point from any score. It was just disappointing as I do like a good shower.

Because it was quiet got upgraded to a lovely room with views of the straights and behold. Staff member was extremely helpful and sociable. Great food as always and breakfast was fantastic.

Nothing, it was extremely quiet which is unusual.
