Very clean, and the staff he was super nice and very friendly and welcoming. It was super quiet at night had no problems sleeping. And the bed was quite comfortable

If there was one thing I had to say would be that the telly in the room is tiny but it’s no big deal as not there to watch tv

My room is clean, warm and with all the regular facilities you'd expect. It was handy for public transport to get into York. Greg the host was knowledgeable and friendly and was able to swap my room floor as my arthritis was active. I was very grateful. He gave great tips on places to eat , especially breakfast and places to go. It was easy to get more tea/coffee etc, as you only had to txt or leave a note and it was replaced.

I would have liked a box of hankies in the room.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They told me a lot about York and gave me advice as to where I could visit. The room was perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable, I had an amazing nights sleep. Very homey. It was a 10/10 and I can't fault it. Please stay here!! I will be back if I am ever visiting York again.

Nothing - it exceeded expectation!

Just returned from a lovely stay. Greg met us on arrival and was friendly and informative. The room was as described. Parking was good -we left the car on the drive for the whole stay. It's an old house, so the water pressure was variable, but we knew this, and it did not bother us. We were in room 2, which is at the front, so there was some traffic noise, but it did not bother us; it may for really light sleepers. You can have breakfast, but we did not opt for this. The property is close to all amenities in York City - attractions, pubs, restaurants and shops. We easily walked in and out of the city. Once we arrived, we walked into the City and did some shopping and returned later for a meal and drinks at the Golden Lion. The next day, we walked to the National Railway Museum, which was an easy walk, and the museum was great. After refreshment at The Dubliner, which had live music, we walked the city walls ending at York Minster. After walking back for a rest and a change, we headed out for a delicious meal and drinks at Harkers bar. York was vibrant and busy on Saturday night, which we liked. York has something for everyone

I made a genuine mistake over how to check out when leaving baggage. It could have been a little clearer.
