Great location! 15 minute walk to the city centre, Main Street. Bus stop outside if you preferred the 5 minute bus trip. Lovely owner! Comfortable room!

Enjoyed being able to eat breakfast in the room and that I could walk to the city center. Hosts were friendly.

I spent six weeks in the UK and stayed in numerous guest houses, but, unfortunately, this one was not up to par. Although friendly, the hosts clearly cut corners to save themselves money. For example, I was very surprised to learn when we arrived that they do not accept credit cards even though the room was reserved via a credit card. Fortunately my daughter had a debit card but even with that they added a small fee. The towels are air dried (which I can appreciate in terms of environmental impact) and were extremely uncomfortable to use and not what one expects when paying for lodging. I did notice a sign after we checked out that guests can request a fluffy towel, but this was not made clear when we arrived. Condiments served with breakfast were all expired; I had to throw them way. The room we had needs some TLC. Double bed had a large lump in the middle. Bedding on both beds was quite shabby, and most pillows were flat. Finally, while I knew breakfast was an extra charge, I found that most guesthouses that charge a similar nightly rate automatically include breakfast. Guests should understand there are lots of stairs. We were on the third floor. May be an issue for less able-bodied guests especially when carrying luggage. While we were able to walk to the city center, the location was not ideal.
