Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge

Convenient location near the restaurants. Nearby public parking was aplenty. Room was clean. The common kitchen was well equipped and the common lounge area was very comfortable.

Terrible soundproofing in the room. Could hear the neighboring room's conversation loud and clear. The room I had had a window facing a parking space and could hear the noise of car engine starting and stopping as well as car doors and boots closing.

Warm, safe, clean, good location, great communal kitchen.

Our room was quite small - not much room to move around with two single beds and luggage.

Very central in the village, very friendly staff and great kitchen area.

The picture they use to advertise is VERY DECEIVING. The reality is this hotel is very small and outdated. The rooms could not be smaller and SERIOUSLY outdated. For myself, it is FAR FAR more like a hostel and with the price they charge it would be the world's most expensive hostel. Stay away.
