Grand Hotel La Tonnara

Wir sind mit dem Flugzeug angereist und sind dann mit dem Zug nach Amantea gefahren. Von hier aus gestaltet sich der Transfer zum Hotel nicht gerade einfach. Taxen sind schwer zu bekommen. Leider verkehrt im Bereich des Hotels keine Buslinie. Das Hotel selbst eignet sich super als Urlaubsdomizil. An der Rezeption wird man von sehr netten Damen freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Aufgrund der Lage (Entfernung zur Stadt) bietet es sich an, schon am Flughafen ein Fahrzeug zu mieten und dieses den gesamten Aufenthalt zu nutzen.

Tout est excellent, la chambre est très confortable, le restaurant est très bien, le personnel est courtois, il y a une galerie et la plage est superbe. Bravo!

Schönes Hotel, direkt am Strand. Frühstück sehr gut. Bedienung zuvorkommend und freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig. Bin das zweite mal dort gewesen, kann es nur empfehlen.

Nice room in a well decorated hotel. Great bathroom. Wifi was very slow and could sometimes only be accessed by sitting in the hallway. Super off season rate for a large sea view terrace room.

Nice clean hotel. Small rooms, poor internet service, beds and pillows very uncomfortable. My son is 6 ft. Single bed was very small. Pool closes at 8. Breakfast is very nice. Hotel staff very nice.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti presso il Grand Hotel La Tonnara ad Amantea. La località dove si trova è un posto tranquillo sul mare e l'hotel dispone di una spiaggia attrezzata proprio lì di fronte. Io ed il mio ragazzo siamo arrivati nel pomeriggio e ci siamo diretti subito in spiaggia, prima però abbiamo appoggiato i bagagli in camera che era spaziosa e con tutti i comfort necessari per una vacanza al mare, anche una piccola cucina. La sera abbiamo cenato ad Amantea nel paese vecchio che è davvero molto carino e c'è una vista meravigliosa, lì consiglio di assaggiare il gelato di Sìcoli. Per quanto riguarda i giorni seguenti, siamo andati durante il giorno in spiaggia, sia in quella dell'hotel, sia in quelle vicine, in particolare nella spiaggia di Coreca, dove l'acqua è cristallina. Invece, la sera abbiamo visitato i paesini vicini, in particolare siamo rimasti molto entusiasti di Fiumefreddo, consigliatoci dal personale dell'hotel, che ha un castello e una terrazza con una vista migliore anche di quella di Amantea. In definitiva ci siamo trovati molto bene presso l'hotel, sono stati tutti molto gentili e disponibili, inoltre l'hotel è tenuto bene e davvero pulito. Torneremo sicuramente in Calabria ed in questa zona.

Arrived by shuttle from a station at 4pm with our children. We were immediately impressed with the appearance of the hotel and beach area. We were then told that no restaurant within walking distance would be open until 8pm. We had missed lunch and explained that to staff but she simply apologized. We had crackers to make it until dinnertime, which was very nice but quite formal for (our) children and seemed to draw much attention whenever our kids voices got a little loud. Rooms are great and spacious. Beach area is beautiful but after using shower by the beach, the strict lifeguard said not use the outdoor toilet while wet... Just to clarify, my son was sand-free and this is essentially a port-o-potty.. The hotel has a very nice pool which is hardly used probably because it is mandatory to wear a swimming cap in order to enter it. You can purchase caps at the front desk, but my kids opted to stay at the beach. In our week stay, we only dined at our hotel the one time, and instead went to the restaurant nextdoor, since it seemed a little more relaxed and friendly toward us. On one day, a red flag was up due to wind conditions, even though it really did not seem that wavy but the lifeguard said not to go in the water. I calmly explained that it was our last 2 days and asked if we could simply move several meters down the beach. He said it was fine, so we left our chairs and umbrellas and sat on towels on the public beach. Pristine hotel but not exactly a fun atmosphere.

Very clean accommodation, and beautiful wide beach. Close proximity to walking path and Amantea- also super close to Lamezia Terme. Would stay again.
