The Manor House

Had a wonderful overnight stay. A nice room with a great night's sleep on a very comfy bed, a fab breakfast of waffles and smoked bacon with maple syrup, and the Moonshine beer the previous evening was just 😋🍺 Great location with plenty of dining options nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms are up a set of stone steps so may not be suitable for less able people.

This is a little treasure of a place, check in was very quick efficient and friendly. Room was beautiful a Nad veery clean . Staff well they all go the extra mile to ensure your have a perfect stay and every thing you need. The breakfast was outstanding . If I’m out that way again this would be my first choice

We were 2 single females & had a single room with shower cubicle each. These were nicely decorated with a veteran Film Star theme and had everything required for one night. Shower pressure was excellent with basic toiletries supplied (handwash,body wash, shampoo). It was hot and a fan was also supplied. Dronfield was a lovely little place and we had a decent meal in the nearby Chinese restaurant. Bed was comfortable & breakfast was really excellent and cooked very well. Lots of choices from traditional English, porridge, waffles, cereal and many drinks choices too including smoothies. Only down side was a very noisy group of people in the outside bar seating area at night. I dont know if they were locals and/or staff which continued until around 11.30pm (not sure because in the end we shut our windows!). Thankful then for the fan. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. We were going to Chatsworth House, only about 15mins away.

The hotel is in a very old quirky building, yet the owners have managed to bring the facilities up to a modern standard. The room was spacious and comfortable with very good tea making items, we enjoyed it all.

So pleased that The Manor House is open for business again. I love the rooms there, the location is great for me and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was superb. Unfortunately the night we stayed over a weekend was very difficult to sleep. There was a DJ set below that shook the room and so noisy you couldn’t until midnight. Just be mindful of this when staying

Our suite (Hepburn) was really lovely, the staff were great, and the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately the bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in, and we could barely crawl out of bed in the morning. There was also a problem with the heating (it was on full blast when we arrived) but the staff were really helpful and managed to turn it off centrally, so it cooled down within a couple of hours - we were very grateful for their help. So I'd recommend it overall, but would want to be reassured about the comfort next time!

Great service and friendly staff. As we were travelling a distance to have someone on to check in 24 hours is a real bonus. At breakfast there was a really good choice. A few small points.......our room was really hot and I found the bed hard but that’s personal preference. Our relations who arrived earlier had a meal in the restaurant and said the food was first class.
