"A really enjoyable short break. Would highly recommend"

The location was ideal, situated next to the cathedral and the castle walled garden. The included breakfast was a limited continental but more then sufficient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal menue was again slightly .limited but the specials made up for this.

Absolutely no complaints.

"Exceptional"

Clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very close to the town centre and the castle.

The pub was quiet when we stayed, but our ground floor annex room was right next to the outdoor seating. So be aware that potentially it could be a bit noisy.

"Disappointing"

The location was great

We booked a king size superior but didn’t receive that on checking in. Staff were not accommodating at all and stated it was nothing to do with them and we needed to complain to booking.com which has been done. We paid a lot of money and didn’t get what we paid for

"Ideal overnight stopover with excellent castle visit."

Conveniently situated to the town and castle. Very friendly and obliging staff. Car parking right outside the room and no stairs for us to ascend with luggage. Very good evening meal.

Only one little niggle was the flashing light on the terrace outside the room. Too sensitive in the wind.
