Campbelltown Colonial Motor Inn

This motel is ok if you just need a clean bed and a shower. It's tired, run down and provides minimal in room facilities. Think toaster - no knife. No microwave. It was in a convenient location to get to where I needed to be but I wouldn't choose to stay again. Having said that the staff were polite and friendly and it was quiet.

Checking in was very easy as we had prepaid and the receptionist had rung with instructions if we arrived after 8 pm. The bed was really comfortable. However the room was disappointing- end room bottom floor - long crack in the wall only partially fixed, an unused television mount still on the wall, no plug for sink or bath, thin blanket so we asked for another which was damaged, smokers from next room sitting outside, no fly screen in bathroom, air conditioner so noisy it was unusable, no biscuits to go with coffee making facilities- but comparatively cheap I guess.

Left without staying. Walked into what looks like a prison cell - cracked wall joins, no towel racks, cracked tiles in kitchenette, thick dust on power points and that would've been okay, but then we saw the severe mould in the bathroom ceiling and decided to not stay.

Room was not serviced over a 2 day stay. The remote did not work. Tradesmen were re-flooring a room at 7am. The room size was OK but other than that, we would not recommend this motel. Colonial is a euphemism for dishevelled.

Given the slightly industrial location I was not expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. For the price this is an excellent value motel. I will be back.

Poor facilities. No bedside lamps or clock radio. One lamp in the room with no globe. No hairdryer. Poor lighting and one small window. Unpleasant sheets in the beds, very rough. Very average bathroom and shower.

Cheap but the cockroaches and egg case in the kettle ruined my stay. TV remote didn't work and mattress so old had dents in it from former users.

Stayed for 2 nights. the neighbours were very noisy. Shouting and swearing obscenities. I was not happy;.

The receptionist was extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful
