Great staff, great facilities, had a great time.

From the receptionist to the cleaning staff to the lovely Phil greeting us at breakfast every single point of service was fantastic, it was like a family fun hotel, very friendly caring staff even the younger staff who can sometimes being distracted on their phones in other places they were attentive and very professional

The service from the staff and the hotel itself is superb

Made a reservation upon arrival for dinner, the table was booked for 8.45pm we were shown to our seats, fifteen minutes later not one member of staff had approached our table to ask if we wanted service which we clearly did as the menus were placed to the side. When we eventually ordered food was very nice. I asked a member of staff to bring us some drinks and again left waiting for a long time. Restaurant was not very busy so can't understand the lack of service.

The Hotel itself and the surrounding grounds are very beautiful. The room was fine. However, the service, food and hotel policy do not complement the brand at all. The breakfast was below average in terms of choice and quality - diluted orange juice, rubbery eggs, stale bread. Frankly not only disappointing but horrifying as a customer we expected much better given we are being charged 4 star price. The evening meal - fish & chips, though the portion was generous. It lacked quality and freshness - frozen fish. We did bring all of the issues to the attention of staff and the manager. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!! This is not the 4 star spa experience we had hoped. To use the pool you are required swimming cap again not told so will have to buy these from the spa at extra cost. We gave examples of other local facilities 4 star which charge same sort of price but with much superior service and food. No flexibility with regards to check in. Especially if you have driven over 100 miles/ 2.5 hr journey please be considerate and welcome your guests- look after your customer. Shocking response from the manager was I am sure you will give us another chance, the reality is we spent over £200 for one night and were disappointed and the issues were not addressed when we told them to you. How would you expect us to come back, when we said give us a reason why we should come back.... there was no response..,

Two nights midweek. Extremely pleasant surroundings and great staff made our trip memorable. The evening meal in the restaurant was super too, with plenty of choice and good attentive service.
