The property is in good location but you need to have transportation not walkable to restaurants or shopping, check in is so late 4pm, it bad if you’re arriving so early, breakfast is great but same everyday .

lovely resort. really good golf course. restaurant had nice selection, good food and good service Breakfast was also very good. Large comfortable rooms. Nice bathrooms and showers. Surrounding countryside beautiful.

"Nostalgic venue to reminisce about the present "

Visiting for a wedding at a nearby venue and the stayed here for the apres celebrations. This hotel is nice in particular the grounds but dated internally in terms of overall condition, bedding etc and having stayed in a much newer property the difference was stark, but it very much depends on what you are seeking.

"Nice hotel but shoddy management."

Nice room. Good golf course in good location. Room refurbishment good plus new carpets in many of the corridors. Areas for improvement: entrance to hotel needs to be kept cleaner and furnishings upgraded. A couple of young lads working in the bar area need to be managed better. Breakfast service and how it’s organized needs to be improved- long queues for hot food which interfere with diners sitting at adjacent tables; rotary toaster (just one) getting in the way. Not 4 star standard which is what the hotel is.

We spent the weekend here for our 46 th wedding Anniversary. It was our first vist here. The hotel is just beautiful and set in magnificent grounds. The staff are lovely and all the meals we had were delicious. A truely lovely place. We had a great time. The room was huge and looked out over the gardens. We were more than happy and will certainly recommend the Slieve Russell to our friends
