Hotel Oltremare

Much more pleasant alternative to airport hotels. Located on boulevard for nice walk along the Med. Simple and very low-key check-in desk, clean room with "Ikea" furniture, spaceous clean and updated bathroom. comfortable bed, no reading lights. Great hotel for one night prior to early am flight. Only 15 min. to airport. Nice continental breakfast. Definitely not a "glamorous hotel", would not stay there for "a week at the beach". Good on premise restaurant. We came back late, asked for vin santo, got a half bottle, asked for the bill and were told "on the house because you're staying in the hotel". That shows the friendliness of the staff. Good price, good value, beats "American chain hotels" near airport.

Friendly, helpful staff. Just across the street from the beach. Numerous restaurants nearby. Safe neighborhood. We arrived well before check-in time but the staff worked to have it ready very quickly and served us cappuccini while we waited. They let us borrow a current adapter so we didn't have to buy one. I would stay there agaim. 12 minutes from the airport by taxi or uber. About 25 euro.

Nice staff. Paolo made us feel like home. Food in their restaurant is fantastic.

Great location, great view, great staff

Came late evening saturday, parking was a bit tricky until restaurants emptied out, then plenty of spaces. Parking in front of hotel in spaces along sidewalk. check-in easy, room fine, staff helpful.

Hotel Oltremare was a cute, well kept hotel across the street from the beach. Less than 15 minutes from the airport in Rome. We got off a cruise ship, managed to check all our bags in one of our rooms which was clean at 9 AM and ran off to Rome to show our friends around who'd never been before. We arrived back after 10 PM to a lively evening crowd up and down the main street off the beach, but we were never bothered by any outside activity. There were people still in the restaurant attached to the hotel. Our breakfast in the morning was a continental breakfast, but with hard boiled eggs, some meats and cheeses, and an array of pastries. Just yummy before our trip to the airport and the cappuccino was divine! The room had a spacious bathroom with hairdryer, soaps and even disposable shavers! The bed was comfortable. Would stay here again and enjoy the area and beach!

Pros: Hotel Oltremare is clean, on the beach and quiet at night. Airy, bright, appealing rooms. Excellent air conditioning. A couple of worn fixtures but good overall. The Restaurant Il Tetto is just 100 meters away -- absolutely superb food. Cons: If you are here for the (rather nice) sand beach, the seawater is dirty. So you are almost certainly here because you have a flight the next day from FCO. The transport situation from hotel to airport is simply unacceptable. 20-25 euros for three people using the local taxis each way. Difficult to arrange and the hotel is not helpful.

Need to take local taxi from airport to hotel. Local taxis are located across the street from the taxis that are going to Rome at the airport. Room was a little small but clean and bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was adequate.

Needed a place very near the airport for one night before flying the next morning. Checked in at 10:30pm, left at 8:45am. The staff was nice, they arranged a taxi for me. Also they were willing to print my boarding pass. The room was rather inexpensive. There was a fridge. It was right on the beach, which was beautiful in the morning. The breakfast was generous, and excellent. There were issues, however: the blanket smelled VERY peculiar. The air conditioner, if it was working at all (I couldn't tell) was very under-powered and I could not get the room as cool as I like it. The elevator was tiny and ANCIENT, and in the morning I couldn't get it to come at all, for a good 5 minutes. It desperately needs maintenance. The bed wasn't very comfortable. But the really bad thing was: The only exit from the hotel, the FIRE EXIT, led down to a door which was LOCKED!!!
