"Cosy, friendly but bring ear plugs"

Lovely and cosy on a bitterly cold night. Log fires and very welcoming staff

Hadn't expected the road would be so busy and intrusive. Frequent lorries rattling right past my window throughout the night meant I had a bad night's sleep. There is double glazing but it doesn't make much of a difference. Definitely book bedrooms on the back!

"Home away from home."

The room was lovely, very comfortable, warm and suited us perfectly. The breakfast was much better that I had expected so that set us up nicely each morning. We had dinner reservations both nights we were there and the menu has lots of choice. We had a wonderful time.

We didn't find the bed terribly comfortable and if that was changed it was have been heavenly.

Beautiful hotel, lovely twin room. The shower was brilliant. Great water pressure and easy to use. The food, and service, in the restaurant were fantastic. Really tasty and a great choice.

Friendly welcome, lovely cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, fabulous food, great service and a great location for visiting many local places of interest and historic houses.

Nothing…we will be returning.
