"Area and location good but hotel let us down since price didnt reflect in quality."

Breakfast and sleep

The main offput was the shower since volume of water was insuffient to have an efficient shower. It sort of worked but water trickled out and temperature adjustment not easy.

Good food pleasant and helpful staff

Squeaky bed really noisy room couldn’t get to sleep until gone midnight because of the local pubs and restaurants you hear people walking pass the window and talking plus local traffic the front door opening and closing by other guests and stomping up and down the stairs and the fire door at the top of the stairs slamming shut not a lot of sleep and definitely not suitable for disabled people

"Perfect family accommodation for a short break."

Brilliantly located at the end of the High street, the 3 bed suite was perfect for our family of 5, and had a comfortable living room which was perfect for relaxing in after a day out, and after dinner. Beds and pillows were really comfy. The full English breakfast downstairs was really good.

Nothing! The master bedroom was slightly cooler than the other rooms, and no thermostat in the suite, so we had to ask for a little more warmth downstairs - which was readily given.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and made my late check-in very easy. The location at the bottom of Mermaid Street was ideal — close to everything yet pleasantly quiet. The room was warm, cosy, and beautifully presented, with a very comfortable bed that gave me an excellent night’s sleep. There’s also a pay-and-display car park directly opposite.

On one occasion my key wouldn’t open the front door. A staff member explained another guest had probably double-locked it and showed me another way in. I later found the double lock could be released from inside, but it wasn’t immediately obvious how, which could be a concern in an emergency.
