Shelford Lodge

My mum told me if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all.

It's all a charade, the pictures on b.com are very out dated, the lodge is more a hostel than anything else. For breakfast they had bread and milk and some cereal. The shower was either very hot or scorching. The traffic noise is quite bad. You can't sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the sink. Mouldy light fixtures, although sink and toilet was clean. The bed was extremely low to the floor, but comfortable and they did use a mattress protector. The entrance is around the side and it appears you are going into a grungy hallway with dirty mugs left on radiators. We left early after a terrible night's sleep Avoid if you're sensible. I think b.com needs to conduct a review.

I left to find alternative accommodation

The entrance there was no staff clutter all over walkways and corridors used toiletries and dishes no organisation rooms filthy

Convenient location for Addenbrooke’s Hospital, mattress was firm, water was hot in shower. Parking was ample.

All facilities were very old. Most things were dirty or dusty lots of cobwebs.

Bianca from the staff was absolutely wonderful—so kind, welcoming, and efficient throughout.

The breakfast was unacceptable: dirty dishes and nothing but moldy bread, jelly, and instant coffee.
