GREAT little purpose built rooms out the rear with its own rear parking. Ideal stay for a family get together. Large bathroom and comfy bed
First stay in the hotel as we came up from Isle of Wight to visit our son and his family. Staff very friendly and helpful, will be our first choice for future trips and stays to Shrivenham.
Clean room, powerful shower and pleasant situation. The walls were a bit thin so you could hear cisterns refilling and you could feel the springs through the mattress. Also the tv did not work and neither did the bathroom mirror light. The outdoor garden was nice and the staff were friendly and cheerful.
GBTis is our second stay here I thought I had booked a room over the bar. But got a room at back of the bar little bungalows comfortable enough the beds are amazing great sleep all 3 nights had an issue with the blinds couldn't get them to come down Felicity from the bar came and sorted it breakfast is great 👍 tom was so good 👍 can get a bit noisy at the weekend but it is a bar after all Lol 😀

GBWe had a very pleasant 3 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout from initial welcome to final farewell. The room was large enough clean and warm, the bed had a solid frame, the mattress was softer than my preference but my wife was happy. The bathroom was large with a spacious powerful shower. We had a continental breakfast on our 1st morning which was supplemented with cooked to order options at the weekend. A particular highlight was the fresh berries on offer. Shrivenham is is a small a quiet setting giving a peaceful night's sleep which is a big plus compared to many Swindon hotels

WIFI, bedside lamp, bathroom mirror light and TV all not working. Very noisy til 2am and then stepped put of my room at 7pm to find a massive amount of sick outside the door! I have emailed the Barrington Arms and heard nothing back
The lighting in our room was a bit dull even with all lights on. Also, there was no bedside lamp on one side which meant using a torch to read!
GBbreakfast was delicious, staff amazing, group/band was brilliant, but towel radiator in our room was full of dust, shower door need fixed and my husband fixed it. the cleanliness of our room was a let down as the rest of the stay was perfect
the room needs a good clean, i.e. bathroom radiator was dirty, with dust and watermarks all over it.
