"Marvellous attention in a quiet corner of Uruguayan beach"

The hotel is quirky but pleasant, but the attention is outstanding! I am an invalid and they had allocated us a wonderful large room with a balcony with distant views of the sea. Since it was in the first floor by stairs, they took the trouble of ordering a bannister specially. And it went on like that. Breakfast is brilliant and abundant. We stayed 5 nights and had dinner there three times and was excellent, though limited choices All in all, a very nice place

A pousada é linda, os quartos espaçosos com decoração moderna e acolhedora. O café da manhã é muito bom e o atendimento atencioso. Há bicicletas para uso dos hóspedes, ótimas para explorar os arredores.

"Relaxing beach stay"

We had a wonderful stay at la Viuda! We lived our room with the sea view and tub. The free breakfast was delicious and we loved that it was offered as room service any time. So close to an isolated beach, easy drive to Jose Ignacio. Several amazing restaurants close by for dinner. Would go back and recommend to friends and family!

"Good Posada, Great Management."

La Viuda is one of the best value Posadas in Jose Ignacio. The rooms are spacious, the prices are reasonable considering the alternatives, and the management consistently goes out of it's way to assist and make you feel at home.
