"Excellent"

8.0

The hotel was simply beautiful. The staff are friendly. The promotion for the area(La Ronda) did not live up to my expectation. When we arrived Tuesday evening, the street location of thehotel was simply dead but we saw a few groups of males standing around. For a while I got scared. That fear did not disappear until Friday evening prior to our departure when the street livened up with several young people all walking towards one direction where there was some loud music. I expected it to be more lively. I did not venture going out by myself since I was still a little afraid .

"Excellent place once you get to it. "

10.0

Due to recent road accessability issues, the hotel is not easily accessible by taxi/car most of the time. Apart from the bother of dragging suitcases 300M from our drop off point to the hotel the place was great. The neighborhood was a little sketchy at night but that may apply to most areas.

"Good hotel with some drawbacks."

8.0

This hotel was nice and the staff was very helpful. However, the beds were so hard I had to sleep on top of the covers with only a blanket I had brought with me. My daughter also thought the beds hard and didn't sleep well. The other thing I feel should have been mentioned in the description of the hotel is that it is on a walking street with no car access and from Friday through Sunday all the streets around it are also closed. This makes it hard to get to with luggage since we arrived on a Friday. I have arthritis and a bad knee. The hotel has no elevator so not good for any person with a physical disability. First they were going to put us on the third floor but agreed to change our room to the second. That way I only had to walk one flight of stairs. On the bright side, the hotel was charmingly decorated and the restaurant was decent. I hope this review is helpful.

"A very nice boutique hotel near old town Quito"

8.0

The hotel has been converted from an old Spanish house. Don’t expect a modern facility. There are no elevators and it is on a street where no cars are allowed. But the hotel is so charming, you forget these inconveniences. Lots of old world charm, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are large, the beds are firm the way I like them, and the bathrooms modern. The small dining room served excellent breakfasts with eggs cooked to order if you want. The location is perfect. We were able to take a taxi to some of the sights of the historic district at minimal cost, and we also walked back from these same locations.
