Hotel del Sole

Enrico and his wife were very inviting and gave us excellent suggestions for dinner and site seeing. The room was fantastic and the A/C was very appreciative after walking around Cinque Terre’s 4 other towns. I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel de Sole, we did for 3 nights. Breakfast is simple Italian, coffee or cappuccino, fruits, breads, pastries, cheese, ham, tomatoes, and of course nuttella and jams. Lastly, the personal touches in and around the hotel were much appreciated. Definitely would recommend it to travelers to the area. Sincerely, Patrick & Cassie

Enrico is so helpful with suggestions for the area and any questions guests might have. He and his staff are also super attentive and thoughtful - when they noticed me bringing my own lactose-free milk down to breakfast they brought over some lactose-free yoghurt and milk options which I don’t usually expect at accommodation. Enrico also loaned us a travel adapter plug when we needed one, and he is very quick to respond to any questions via email/message that you might have before or after your stay. The breakfast provided is plentiful and tasty. The hotel is situated just a minute or two away from the buzzing Riomaggiore shops and dining area but this means it is nice and quiet in the room and outside on the room patio. There is a short steep hill to walk up, and steps up to the room which must be navigated with luggage. Enrico provides options before arrival for getting your luggage from the train station to the hotel to minimise the physical effort. Our room and bed was a good size and the air conditioning worked well. As constant tea drinkers the only other thing we could’ve wished for was a kettle for making tea in the room in the evenings, but overall this was a great place to stay.

Large room, good closet space, wonderful terrace attached to room with a great view! Excellent breakfasts provided by helpful and friendly owners.

Great hotel in quieter area but still close to the marina and shopping. Spacious room, with all amenities, comfortable sleeping and lovely balcony to enjoy the view with a glass of wine. Breakfast very good and loved that they had a pot of brewed coffee. One mistake we made was following google maps from train station. Took us up many many winding steps that we could have avoided. All part of the adventure and a good story to tell our family. Enrico and his wife were lovely hosts. Thanks for a great stay!

I needed to checkout a day early due to a rail road strike over all of Italy. The only way to guarantee I was going to get to Venice was to leave a day early. Hotel Del Sole in Riomaggiore wouldn’t cut me any slack and refused to refund 1 nights stay.

Simply outstanding. Enrico and his wife made everything perfect. Great breakfast.

Amazing time. Enrico went out of his way to give us tips on how to get there from the train station without having to pull the heavy suitcase, gave us tips on what to do and how to get places by bus, and also was willing to give us breakfast earlier than usual as we had to leave early. Overall a great time, we will certainly be back should we visit Riomaggiore again.

This place was great! Big spacious ans comfortable rooms. Very close to the water front. The owners are so sweet and helpful with great suggestions on where to eat and go. They will also give you directions on the easiest way to get there as google will try to take you up a ton of stairs.

The owner really treats the hotel like it's home, and you're guest. He goes out of his way to be helpful on ur day trips, general info of the area, and anything else you might need during your stay. It's a small business, and it sure feels like it. It has the warmth and invitation of a home away from home. Beautiful breakfast spread and very roomy clean rooms. Gorgeous patios you can watch the sunset from. I would go back to this place in a heart beat! We traveled for 3 weeks in Europe, and this was by far the best place we stayed at. Just great!
