The owner emailed me ahead of time to give me accurate directions since Google Maps can lead you astray, which I thought was very kind. It is at the very top of the hill in this town, so get ready to walk (it’s not that bad). The town is very small, so you’ll be in the heart of it within 5 minutes. The hotel room is very bare bones, which if you find you’ll be out on the beach or visiting other towns, is all you really need. The towels could use some upgrading since they’re thin. The walls are also very thin, so be prepared to hear ~everything~ your neighbors may be up to at all times of the night and day. The Internet is also pretty spotty. The owner told me just to let him know when its out so he could fix it, but I just found the WiFi to be unreliable. The terraces have beautiful views of the sunset which is gorgeous. The breakfast is also a great spread to start your day off!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Del Sole. The breakfast was excellent and Enrico provided excellent assistance navigating Cinque Terre. They go above and beyond to help you. It’s a great place. Grazie!
Excellent host and room.
Great location if you are planning on staying in Riomaggiore. For an additional charge you can park your car, which is worth it. Continental breakfast is included. The hotel is worn but clean and comfortable. We never spent much time in our room other than sleeping. It’s basic.
Up the road from the center of town and nestled into the hillside, this cute hotel was a quiet and convenient location. The patio was a nice added bonus for us to enjoy at the end of the day. Breakfast was good, coffee was great. The owners were helpful with telling us how to get around and shared some great hike options for us to try.
We loved our stay Hotel Del Sole. Enrico was an excellent host! He was very kind and friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here to enjoy the Cinque Terre region and the fun town of Riomaggiore.
Wonderful stay!! Book this now! The price was affordable and the room is large (older but super clean) with a large bathroom and shower. Enrico was an amazing host and helped us with everything. Breakfast was perfect. Can’t say enough great things about this place. You will have to walk up a short hill to get there which isn’t a big deal if you’re able.
Hotel del Sole is a wonderful place to stay; very clean and centrally located. The owner is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. I would definitely go back.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel del Sole! We didn't know what to expect because we booked pretty last-minute, and it seemed too good to be true that the hotel still had spots. But it was everything and more that was promised. Our room was gorgeous, the views were wonderful, the service was great, etc. We walked/used a train to get around Cinque Terre, and we enjoyed hanging out by Riomaggiore's little harbor, eating at the local restaurants and swimming in the sea at the nearby beach. We'd love to stay here again.
Quite, clean and comfortable. Owners take real pride in their quaint hotel. Very friendly and prepare a beautiful breakfast that is included. Great place to visit.
