Librije's Hotel

The combination of the historic hotel and the world-renowned Restaurant De Librije made the stay truly unforgettable. The room was elegant, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. The staff were warm, attentive, and ensured every moment felt special. Dining at De Librije was an extraordinary experience, creative, surprising, and absolutely memorable.

Honestly, nothing stood out as negative, the only downside was that our stay was too short to enjoy it all.

The service at the hotel is excellent. Top notch. The friendly staff is always available to make sure the stay is amazing in every way. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is brilliant as well.

I loved how dog-friendly they were. A lot of times it‘s said but once there does not feel that way at all. The staff embraced our pup and made us feel like guests and not an inconvenience:)

It used to be a women’s prison and some of us were slightly confused to stay in the rooms which saw sorrow and cry. In fairness I must say that the staff did their best to please us whether it was a glass of champagne on arrival or a wonderful tasting of major hits of the hotel’s three star Michelin restaurant in the lounge bar. The location is also very convenient - within ten minutes walk to the town’s main square. But breakfast was the most frustrating moment, it was neither buffet nor a la carte - the waiters put on our tables kind of dish of the day, all meat, not bothering themselves to ask if we eat meat. All in all we preferred to have breakfast outside the premises because what we’ve got as an alternative to meat, hardly resembled morning bites. Michelin style breakfast is not the their strongest side.

The stay in Librije’s Hotel was truly a ‘Cherry on the Cake’ for our lunch at the Librije. The set-up for the room is excellent for a one-night stay and breakfast is extraordinary. We are now spoilt and have to get used to breakfast buffets again.
