"Exceeded our expectations: the young staff were polite and helpful and not spending time on their phones as we’ve found"

It had character architecturally, good facilities such as a reading room, and a fantastic location

"Makes for a fantastic relaxing break"

10.0

Lovely place within a picturesque setting, if you've not been you need to visit, we stayed for the weekend from 19th June , the hotel is a great place to have a nice relaxing break , nice decor inside with spacious rooms , we had a large room with an equally large bathroom on the first floor looking out towards the abbey, slightly difficult to see the abbey due to the trees on the boundary but the view takes in the grounds of the hotel and the river tweed . We were bed and breakfast , breakfast was nice with plenty of choice from the full breakfast , veggie breakfast, eggs Benedict and breakfast rolls, also lots of cereal, fruit and pastries.all the staff were friendly, one member of staff stood out for us as a great asset to the hotel, he was on breakfast duty on the Sunday morning , we never got his name but we saw him on Friday night in the nearby pub the dryburgh arms, so polite with all the breakfast guests. Food in the restaurant is also great so be sure to try it. You won't regret it. We will definitely be back in the near future.
