"Beautiful location"

8.0

A beautiful location, gorgeous grounds right next door to Drybrugh Abbey and the river Tweed. Ideal spot for walkers. Lovely views from the restaurant and breakfast room.

Limited menu, we wished we hadn't eaten in two nights running. The bar staff although polite and friendly need some training! They don't know how to serve simple cocktails.

Overall enjoyable experience. Spoke to this young gentleman James who works there. Provided a very good service if I ignore the fact he called himself a massive villain and tried to engage me in a conversation about tuna and pepperoni pizzas and peptides. Would definitely recommend.

Location beautiful Staff all friendly Food good

A liittle tired , bathroom & beds very clean . However a lot of dust , don’t think uplighters have been wiped in a while …. Kettle had tea stains on it & grubby marks , i washed it ….. i accept the age of building with single glazed windows but think the dust was a few months rather than weeks ….. meet in the middle mattress but bed linen spotless ….

"Great one night stay"

7.0

Lovely remote location, typical old Scottish hotel but the rooms lacked the character of the main hotel and were dated.Dont think much has changed in the last 30 years.

Room facilities are dated, the Bain area and ground are what you would want if visiting Scotland.
