Wonderful place to get away. Food is amazing especially duck , highly recommended.. nice area , lovely staff , great atmosphere to get a piece of mind and relax ..

No coffee machine any more, minimal choice of hot drinks in the room, cheap biscuits, orange squash at breakfast instead of juice, no smoked salmon at breakfast. This is a lovely hotel, but my last few visits I have noticed more and more cost cutting going on, but the rooms remain the same price.... shame

This was for a stopover on the way home from holiday. Our satnav sent us to a place 4 miles away for the correct postcode so not a good start and looked forward to a meal in the restaurant. We were not disappointed, it was excellent. The room was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and a very good breakfast the following morning. The accommodation was very good value and would certainly stay again if in the area.

Overall this is an excellent place to go and stay (the only gripe we had was there were no face cloths, or bath mats in the shower, a bit of a must if you are unsteady on your feet and the floor is tiled and wet) other than that, had a great time, the food is delicious, staff friendly and helpful, we recommend you consider this place if you are in the area. Not that expensive either for what it offers.

We loved this place. The rooms are fantastic. The breakfasts and dinners are great. We were so glad we found this. There were a few glitches in service, but overall I would stay there again.

I have stayed at a lot of different places but have never felt compelled to write a bad review until now. Who has the time??? I hope this helps future visitors make a decision. We arrived at 7.20pm, decided to eat dinner at the pub as we were told they had kept a table for us. Sat down and had to wait for any form of service, although staff were friendly they seemed disinterested in getting eye contact or taking our order. So unsure of the correct protocol I approached the bar, I was told someone would be along soon. In the end although we had drink, an hour and 10mins later we were still waiting to place an order!!! In the end I asked if we could have some pizza delivered to our room from the menu. To which I was told it would still be a further 30mins wait. I understand sometimes there are delays but this information should have been given to us at the time we asked for a table not just an apology after. Sadly my wife and I agreed the pizza was also the worst pizza we have ever eaten. I think the root of the problem must be kitchen troubles but I have absolutely no idea how this can be awarded a 5 star rating! I realise I havn’t yet mentioned the room and this is simply because it was acceptable, but again could not be described as meeting a 5 star rating. I’m sorry I don’t have better things to say but truthfully I would advise avoiding this place.

Enjoyed two nights at the OHH and would recommend it. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room in an extension to the side of the old inn. Great breakfast and dinner. Road outside quite noisy during the day but it was quiet at night.

Excellent stay. It's a wonderful mixture of new and old with your typical 'old world English country pub' with beams, fire and small alcoves and a modern bedroom which is stylishly set out and extremely clean. Highly recommend this to everyone. It's situated in a small village in the middle of beautiful countryside. Staff are pleasant and accommodating.

A really lovely place to stay. The staff were very helpful and they organised an early breakfast for me.
