Hotel Isla del Encanto

We stayed here for 4 nights after a bunch of adventure travel around the Cartagena area. We are a couple with a 2 year old. This was a perfect ending for our trip. The place is immaculate, our kiddo didn't wear shoes the entire time. Rodolfo and Samuel, as well as William and Mayra were SENSATIONAL at the restaurant- they helped us ensure we had meals that worked with our toddler's midday nap, and vegetarian options galore. They really came up with so many delicious veggie options. Our room was spacious and clean, beautiful view. The whole hotel was a great balance between family-friendly and not just-for-kids. I could see coming here as a couple just as comfortably. The pools were so comfortable and lovely. We also went and did a family photoshoot with the onsite photographer- it was so efficient with great and easy results. It was such a fantastic stay, and just the right amount of intimacy and luxury. I see some complaints here about noise from the neighboring town- while we did hear it faintly some nights, it was really not an issue. We travel with a sound machine, and never even plugged it in. Highly highly recommend.

The one thing we did not like was the ride via a bus to the island. I think it took us way longer then via a boat because the return to the main city was quicker. The hotel itself was very clean and beautiful. The massages were amazing and the staff was wonderful. Kelly our waitress was amazing, we loved her! Thanks to the whole staff on the island for the amazing service.

Un pictures looks much better. The staff are the best of the resort. The food was ok. The beach was ok. I give 3.5 start.

Overall nice

The best part of the hotel are the staff members. They are always willing to help and trying to make the guests feel welcome. I would like to name some of them, Omar, Maria Nela, WIlliam, Kevin, Luis and, Alfonso. The rooms are nice, but it would be great to add a wardrobe and thin curtains to let some light in. The swimming pools should be cleaned more often and the music coming from the bar there, turned down. There are too many daily visitor for the size of the beach.

It is very quiet and peaceful at night. They do a beautiful job setting up dinners in the evening with good food options and gorgeous views of the ocean. I definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous relaxing beachfront area to relax under a shady tree, feel the light breeze and listen to the waves lap the shore until you drift off into a light sleep.

So much to do. Excursions were fun.
