Very friendly. Breakfast was great. Rooms tastefully designed. The staircase is very narrow but no much you can do with that!

Loved our stay here! It was only for one night but we were made to feel very welcome, and the hotel is fabulously quirky, our room was attractive and comfortable. It’s dog friendly, which helped as we’d left ours behind on this occasion, so plenty of furry friends to make new friends with!

Previously I have stayed at The Crown for convenient access to my meeting venue, but in future I will stay at the Stag. Service in the restaurant/bar was so quick & the food delicious & generous servings
