Sea View - Hostel

there didn't provide shampoo.and the position is not good.the person who has this hotel doesn't understand eglish,so it's hard to get any information. I think 65euro you can find a better hotel.

We turned up late to Riomaggiore (after 8pm), so nobody was there to check us in. They had told us this previously, but we hadn't read the emails properly. We called the number on the door and after a few rounds of 'not our problem' we were eventually told that there was a room we could use and somebody would meet us shortly. Half an hour later someone turned up and said that a friend was in hospital and we could use their apartment. We followed them across town and eventually came to a place one back from the waterfront. The apartment was built into the side of the cliff. There were dirty dishes in the sink and the bathroom had been left as is, but the beds were made and the location was fantastic. All in all it worked out well and made for an interesting story, but I would highly recommend turning up before 8pm to avoid the worry.

Detta är en lägenhetsförmedling med ett antal lägenheter. Vi blev vänligt bemötta och uppgraderade till en lägenhet med egen toa (hade bokat delad toa). Rummet vi fick var rätt litet, i princip en säng, men det funkade. Allt som allt en OK budgetalternativ.

As others have said on this site, the actual rooms are not at the place in the centre of town where the office is. When you check in, the host will walk you up the street, up a bunch of stairs, up some more streets to his house. The rooms are part of a house/home...and you share a common living area and bathrooms. We did not have a view of the ocean from our room, although it seems some of the top floor ones might have somewhat of a view. But we didn't stay there for the view and the home was very comfortable and the host/hostess were very kind and helpful. They were very concerned that we were "happy" with the rooms...which we were. The bathrooms were very clean, the bedding was very clean and very comfortable...and the neighborhood was pleasant and safe. We could walk down to the train station and the town easily. The views from just outside the house were very lovely. Our room also opened up to a small back yard/orchard where there were fruit trees and jasmine and we enjoyed it immensely.

Hotellet var bra, dock finns det lite som kan förbättras. En önskan om lite bättre standard i köket som tex mindre kastruller, vassare kniv. Det var även lite lyhört. Mycket trevlig värdinna. Jag skulle trots allt hyra rum igen på grund av den trevliga atmosfären och läget.

Ce n'est pas un hotel, mais des chambres chez l'habitant. Les lits sont relativement confortables, mais sinon le confort est sommaire. Pas de rangement, on pose ses affaires où on peu...parterre, la porte d'entrée s'ouvre qd elle veut, ne pas être pressé... Sinon la patronne est sympa et on est au calme.

This was our first time in Cinque Terre. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The owner was very friendly and actually upgraded our room to an ensuite. Rooms were clean and location is great; it's on the Main Street (Columbo) in Riomaggiore No complaints and would recommend this place to anyone.

"Affittacamere" means "rooms for rent". Affitacamere Patrizia is not a hotel, but a collection of rooms or apartments to rent, scattered throughout Riomaggiore. Our apartment was a pleasant surprise, with a lovely view and a small kitchen. Be aware that parking on the outskirts of town is in short supply, and be expected to carry your suitcases up and down many a street and staircase. Also be advised that the Affitacamere Patizia accepts only cash payment.

The owner owns several apartments and rents the rooms. If I understood that more clearly going in I wouldn't have been so surprised when I saw the accomodations. Don't get me wrong, I would stay again. The room was small but fit two beds. There was a bathroom that worked. The location was perfect. But it shouldn't be labelled as a hotel because it is not. Otherwise, the owner was very nice and if I make it back to the area I would stay again.
